Inside the Monos Black Friday Sale—How to Save & What to Buy

Inside the Monos Black Friday Sale—How to Save & What to Buy

Monos is one of the most sought-after luxury luggage brands—and their Black Friday sale is the perfect time to splurge on an excellent piece.

The Monos Black Friday sale has been live for a few weeks, but today discounts rise from 30% off to 40% off select markdowns.

You’ve got until December 5 to take advantage of almost half-price for some of the world’s most celebrated and headline-worthy pieces of luggage.

Seriously—stop reading this article and start shopping on Monos… or get a head start with my favorite deals, listed below.

Remember, Monos is one of the most trusted and tested travel brands in the world. I really can’t recommend this sale enough, especially if you’re usually hesitant to splurge on luggage.

Best Monos pieces for Black Friday buys

Carry-On Pro

Monos

This fantastic carry-on has elevated interior features that I love. Its compression straps and mesh lining are top-tier—thicker and more powerful than competitors.

But the coolest feature of the Monos Carry-On Pro is its exterior pocket. It’s got a laptop sleeve and other compartments that make it easy for you to grab something out of your suitcase—no flipping and unzipping required.

Hybrid Carry-On

Monos

Can’t decide between a normal polycarbonate shell and a sleek aluminum suitcase? Go for the hybrid.

The Monos Hybrid Carry-On combines the power of both by layering a metallic finish over that polycarb shell, giving you a nearly unbreakable suitcase. It also comes with a double TSA-lock for added protection.

Check-In Large

Monos

Monos describes this check-in suitcase as ‘generous’, which I think is a fitting description of how spacious this option is.

The reason I’m recommending a larger suitcase is its top-tier design and high-quality materials, meaning you don’t need to worry about the suitcase’s integrity as you fill it to the brim and drag it around the world.

Looking for the Best Road Trip Products? You Need These 5 Picks

There’s nothing like a trip down the open road.

They introduce us to the unexpected—no extra legwork needed.

Maybe you’re drawn to a petrified forest on a road trip down to New Orleans. Maybe you’re going on a fully-fledged road trip across Iceland. Regardless, there’s a new adventure waiting on every byway, side street, and dirt road.

That being said, road trips are hard to pack for. Even more difficult is knowing what kind of road trip products will make a difference in terms of your comfort, safety, and overall happiness.

That’s doubly true when you’re renting a car abroad.

If you want a more comprehensive look at the types of road trip products that can transform your journey, start here. If not, get the lowdown with my five favorite items, listed below.

My favorite road trip products at-a-glance:

  • A multi-functional charging port that won’t get in your way: CociVivre Car Charger Port
  • Discreet hooks that let you hang anything in the back seat: Amooca Car Seat Headrest Hooks
  • A dynamic shade that fits almost any car: PEMOtech Window Shade
  • A multi-purpose bin to combat disorganization: High Road Carhop Organizer (domestic road trips only)
  • A one-size-fits-all cupholder: Seven Sparta Car Cupholder (domestic road trips only)
  • A support pillow that molds to your body: Qutool Lumbar Support Pillow (domestic road trips only)

Best road trips products you can pack with you to take abroad

CociVivre Car Charger Port

Amazon

Don’t get stuck with a rental that has a basic charging port—one that might not work for your smartphone.

This bad boy comes with a 2.4A lightning cable, plus 2.4A USB, Type-C 3A, and PD 3A charging capabilities. That means you can also top up your tablet battery and other smaller devices.

Its cables also pull out and retract, letting you prevent disorganization. Thanks to its small size, you can pack this charger port with you for trips abroad, too. Just make sure to have access to it when you’re heading through security. It might get flagged.

Amooca Car Seat Headrest Hooks

Amazon

These are a little bit clunky—so you might not be able to pack them. That being said, if you’re traveling abroad with plans to rent a car and set off into the sunset, I highly recommend bringing along a storage solution like the Amooca hooks.

They’ll make it that much more easy to hang up coats, bags, and other items from your seatback. That’s doubly important if your trunk is also full of suitcases, and triply important if you’re going to be on the road for longer than a week.

As someone who once went on a month-long romp through the Rockies in a Prius with a friend and our two dogs, headrests hooks would have been a life-changer.

PEMOtech Window Shade

Amazon

The sunnier your destination, the more you need the PEMOtech window shade. It’s like a giant, hyper-thin glove that fits over your car door.

That means it’ll fit just about any type of car so long as it doesn’t have sliding doors. Best of all, this shade folds up into a tiny ball about the size of a sock—be careful not to lose it in your suitcase.

Best road trip accessories for domestic trips

In addition to the road trip products listed above, you can also add these accessories to any domestic trips you have planned. If they aren’t too clunky to pack, you can also take them on any international road trips.

High Road Carhop Organizer

Amazon

This organizer is a little bit large, meaning it might not fit your car if you have a smaller model. That being said, I’d try to make it fit no matter what.

With a cooling compartment, cupholders, and multiple pockets and modular slots for Marie Kondo-level organizing, it’ll prevent your car from slowly turning into a landfill. It’ll also prevent items from slipping into the Netherworld between your seats and the center console.

Seven Sparta Car Cupholder

Amazon

From the Yeti to the Stanley Cup, there’s always a new liquid-receptacle trend on the horizon. Get ahead with this one-size-fits-all cupholder.

Seriously, it’ll even store mugs and tumblers with handles. Pure witchcraft.

Qutool Lumbar Support Pillow

Amazon

Don’t want to turn into Quasimodo on your travels? This lumbar support gives you two ways to maintain your posture while driving, including lower back and upper back support functions.

What I like about this lumbar support pillow is that you can also take it out of your car for use elsewhere. It’s lightweight compared to other options on the market.

Best Black Friday Hotel Deals from Hilton, Hyatt, & Marriott Bonvoy

Black Friday packs a punch for hopeful travelers. There are dozens of ways to save—from luggage sales to discounted flights to travel gadgets of all stripes.

Whether buying accessories or fully pre-planned trips, there’s a deal for every type of traveler out there.

And while some major travel companies have been hesitant to set up large-scale Black Friday sales, that’s slowly changing. When it comes to hospitality, travelers can take advantage of great savings for three global brands, Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott.

Want access to the best Black Friday hotel deals? Here’s how you can take advantage of offers from these trusted names.

Best Black Friday deals from Hilton

  • Black Friday deals available until January 5, 2025
  • Deals apply to stays before April 21, 2025
  • 2-night stay required and 7-day advance booking

Hilton’s Season to Stay Sale is one of the best Black Friday offers from a major hotel chain for two reasons. First, anyone can take advantage of its 20% savings on certain deals. Second, there’s no complicated fine print involved.

The only real ‘catch’ for this Black Friday sale is that deals are available only in the US and Canada. But that’s not unique to Hilton and still lets you shop around thousands of hotels, resorts, and more—so start with Hilton if you want to save on hotel bookings. You have until the new year to make your final selections.

Best Black Friday deals from Marriott

  • Black Friday deals available until December 3 (Travel Tuesday)
  • Deals apply to stays before January 20, 2025
  • Choose from over 7,000 locations around the world and book through the Bonvoy app

Marriott offers quite a few ways to save with multiple sales running this holiday season. The most straightforward and accessible deal is the Cyber Sale for Marriott Bonvoy members. You can save a massive 25% off of all bookings at select hotels worldwide.

That’s a hefty offer—but it’s not quite as competitive when we take a closer look. The main catch is that you have to be a Marriott Bonvoy member to take advantage. Plus, you need to book a stay before January 20, 2025.

While you can choose from thousands of locations on almost any continent, you need to be pretty agile with your travel plans to jet-set to Rome, Rio, or beyond with a month’s notice.

Best Black Friday deals from Hyatt

  • Black Friday deals available until December 9, 2024
  • Deals apply to stays before April 20, 2025
  • Use the code SAVENOW to access special offers at check-out

Hyatt’s Black Friday deal offers savings worth up to 25% for World of Hyatt members and 20% for non-members. If you aren’t a member, it’s a great time to become one. You can sign up easily when finalizing your Black Friday purchases.

Hyatt’s Black Friday deal can be used at select hotels and resorts in the Americas. As a big fan of their Centric and Unbound portfolios, I’d recommend starting there.

Best Black Friday Deals for Cruise Lovers: Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Norwegian, & More

You can divide the travel world into two segments: those who cruise and those who don’t.

I’m squarely in the latter category thanks to my suspicion of open water, hordes of strangers, and buffets.

That being said, this is the time of year when I start backtracking on that stance.

Cruises offer an easy way to explore the world and, more specifically, our most beautiful oceans and seas. And with steep Black Friday savings on the table from the world’s most famous cruise providers, it’s an ideal time to try something new.

Whether you’re shopping around for a cruise with a new company or, like me, you’re seeking out the perfect cruise to open up new travel horizons, start with the options below.

Not only are the cruise providers some of the best in the business, but they also offer fantastic savings. Keep your eye on these Black Friday deals for cruise lovers.

Best Black Friday deals on popular cruises

MSC Cruises

  • Black Friday sale live from 11/26-29

MSC Cruises is offering up to 40% off select cruises for its Black Friday sales event, along with up to $500 onboard credits. This offer is valid for certain cruises in the Caribbean, Alaska, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Canary Islands, and Dubai.

Royal Caribbean

  • Black Friday sale live until 12/3 (Travel Tuesday)

Royal Caribbean is already a great option for those seeking affordable cruises. During its Black Friday sales, you can find hefty savings on cruises, weekend getaways, and even cross-Atlantic journeys. Billed as Royal Caribbean’s ‘biggest sale ever’, you’ll save thousands on its more elaborate programs.

Celebrity Cruises

  • Black Friday sale live on Black Friday

Want to save up to 75% by booking a second cruise guest? Celebrity Cruises makes it highly affordable to bring a friend or loved one with you on a cruise.

And with over 300 cruises discounted over Black Friday, it’s pretty dizzying to think about how much you could save booking out cruises for 2025. Seriously, they have dozens of offers on the table.

Norwegian Cruise Line

  • Black Friday sale live until 12/2 (Cyber Monday)

Norwegian offers dozens of unique deals on Black Friday, including offers for its subsidiaries like Oceania Cruises. You can save up to 50% on select routes, along with discounted experiences on some of its newest ships.

Which Airlines Offer Black Friday Deals? Save On United, American, Frontier, & More

Want to jet-set for cheap?

While airlines haven’t always offered deals over Black Friday, that’s slowly changing. This year, a few major deals are on the docket—including Travel Tuesday offers from American Airlines and extended savings from booking platforms like Priceline.

Aren’t sure where to find the deals you’re looking for – or even which companies are offering them? Keep reading for a breakdown of the best Black Friday deals from major airlines and booking platforms, along with important sales dates and conditions.

Don’t see the airline you had in mind? Airlines can be finicky about listing the details and dates of their actual sale days. I recommend checking in on Black Friday (November 29), Cyber Monday (December 2), and Travel Tuesday (December 3) to see if any deals are live.

If you still can’t find a deal that meets your needs, I highly suggest focusing on Booking.com, Expedia, and Priceline. All three have Black Friday deals that you can take advantage of to book flights, car rentals, and other experiences.

Best of all, these booking platforms usually have fewer terms and conditions tacked on compared to airlines, especially for those who aren’t loyalty members.

Don’t forget about booking sites

  • Expedia: Expedia is offering up to 30% off on thousands of offers, but take advantage quickly – Expedia’s sale ends on Black Friday.
  • Booking.com: Booking.com has rolled out a massive Black Friday promotion that lasts through Travel Tuesday. You can save up to 15% on last-minute travel packages until the sale ends on Wednesday, December 4.
  • Priceline: Similar to Booking, Priceline is offering tons of ways to save starting on Black Friday. You can save up to 99% on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The sale ends on Travel Tuesday, which is December 3.

Black Friday deals from major airlines

  • American Airlines
    • Black Friday sales run from November 28 – December 3
    • You can save on select flights and other special offers
  • United Airlines
    • United has one of the less concrete Black Friday sales periods; most flyers and experts expect the sale will run on Black Friday only
    • You can save up to 30% select routes, along with bonus points for United MileagePlus members
  • Frontier Airlines
    • Frontier Airlines offers a single-day Black Friday promotion
    • You can save on flights and get a massive discount on Frontier’s All-You-Can-Fly pass
  • JetBlue
    • Jet Blue’s sale runs only on Black Friday, like Frontier
    • You can save on flights and select travel packages

Beis is Offering 30% Off for Black Friday—Here’s What You Need to Know

If you’ve been eyeing a Beis piece, then you’re probably aware—this brand never does sales.

This year, things are different.

The Beis Black Friday Sale includes offers of up to 30% off for its top-selling products. The sale starts on Thanksgiving (November 28) and runs until December 14.

That means you have just over two weeks to take advantage of the brand’s hefty savings.

Aren’t sure what Beis pieces are worth targeting this holiday shopping season? Start with my picks below. I’ve selected three of the best Beis deals based on product, pricing, and innovative features. You won’t find these elsewhere.

Best Beis luggage to buy this Black Friday

The Mini Weekender

Though one of the larger weekender bags out there, I like the Beis Mini Weekender thanks to its classic style and unique wide opening, which lets you pack it like a traditional suitcase.

But there are other bonuses, too. The bottom compartment lets you separate shoes from toiletries from charging cables. It’s also the most stylish weekender out there (tied with my CALPAK favorite, of course).

The Mini Roller

In terms of tiny suitcases that will fit under the seat in front of you, it doesn’t get much better. Beis does a really great job in making mini-suitcases functional, packable, and good-looking.

Though you’ll need to be a pro at packing minimally, this amazing mini-suitcase has bonus features like a front pocket with a laptop sleeve and TSA locks. Also – don’t mind the child in the photo. The Mini Roller is made for anyone and everyone.

The Sport Sling

This isn’t a traditional travel piece, but I think it’s great for passengers who like to keep important items and IDs close. It’s got just the right amount of space for a passport, wallet, smartphone, and other lil’ gadgets.

If you usually check your suitcase, the Sport Sling offers a sleek and minimalist way to board the plane with everything you need. It’s also a great option for the guys in your life, as most travel gear like bags are marketed strictly towards women.
