Travel Tuesday Alert: Booking & Priceline Sales Are About to End

Travel Tuesday Alert: Booking & Priceline Sales Are About to End

What’s the best way to save on travel expenses over Black Friday?

The answer depends on the traveler, but I usually focus on the heavy-hitters in travel budgets: hotels and flights. (Or maybe splurging on a nice piece of luggage.)

And to take full advantage of these flight and hotel-based travel deals, I suggest making your purchases on Travel Tuesday instead of Black Friday.

That’s because Black Friday deals usually revolve around product sales and retail. By contrast, Travel Tuesday usually includes offers from airlines and booking sites.

While airlines usually offer decent savings, they come with plenty of terms and conditions. For that reason, I keep my eye on offers from platforms like Booking, Expedia, and Priceline.

This year, Expedia’s deal ends on Black Friday (November 29). But sale season is just ramping up for Booking and Priceline.

Want to save big on Travel Tuesday? Here’s your last chance. Priceline’s Black Friday offers end on December 3 and Booking’s close on December 4.

Here’s what you need to know about both deals.

Priceline is offering up to 99% off on Cyber Monday & Travel Tuesday

Priceline isn’t messing around with its Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday deals—and neither should you.

If you’re broke, semi-broke, or live in fear of becoming broke, these deals will let you travel like royalty.

Why focus on the Black Friday sales from Priceline? They’re tacked on to just about everything—from Avis car rentals to luxury five-star resorts to Disney-branded experiences.

But you need to be aggressive with Priceline sales—they’re selling out fast, while other high-savings deals are available for short sales periods.

I suggest shopping around on Priceline deals you like, then reading the fine print and setting a reminder to circle back to make the purchase. Remember—the savings are steep but they come with plenty of terms and conditions and are available for a short period of time.

Booking offering up to 35% on select deals until Wednesday, December 4

Compared to the potential savings offered by Priceline, Booking’s deals aren’t quite as high-value. That being said, it’s a bit easier to shop around for hotel savings and flight savings because the Black Friday sale is spread out across its booking options… not confined to flash sales.

Booking offers savings worth up to 35% on hotels, 25% off car rentals, and 20% off travel experiences and tour packages. Its flights aren’t discounted across the board, but there are dozens of great offers.

Why focus on the Black Friday sales from Booking? I’ve had great experiences with Booking, so I’m always fast to recommend them for just about any travel-related service.

Their customer service is comprehensive and the fine print tacked onto their deals isn’t quite as extensive as other booking platforms.

Best Black Friday Sales from Boutique Hotels—Save Big Now

Who doesn’t love a boutique hotel?

Compared to regular chains, boutique hotels offer higher-quality design, more personalized service, and a local-first approach to hospitality.

They trade general amenities for a curated atmosphere—one that you’ll pick up on as soon as you enter the grounds.

Unfortunately, the average boutique hotel is pricier than a standard chain. While that pricing is often justified, many travelers prefer to save when booking hotels. They’ll funnel those savings toward high-class meals and cutting-edge experiences before a boutique hotel, in many cases.

But it’s Black Friday season—which means you don’t need to sacrifice anything to put together a fantastic vacation.

You just need to know where to shop around.

If you want to take a few shortcuts while shopping for the best Black Friday sales from boutique hotels, start here. I’ve rounded up some of the best boutique hotel experiences with Black Friday savings, from independent brands to highly unique branches from major companies.

You’ll find savings for stays all around the world, from Costa Rica to the Maldives to the Caribbean. Just make sure to take advantage soon.

Some of the best Black Friday sales from boutique hotels end in the first week of December.

Black Friday Travel Packages—Save Big with These Companies

Some travelers like to plan their vacation detail by detail.

Others are prone to show up at the airport and ask… wait, where are we going?

Most of us probably fall somewhere in the middle of those two poles.

We want to hold the reigns to our trip, deciding where we go and what to do. But we don’t want to dig too deeply into the minutiae of booking tickets, reserving hotel rooms, and searching around for deals.

Enter the magic of the travel bundle.

Similar to cruises, travel packages (aka travel bundles) let you buy a trip wholesale. While you might need to figure out transportation, packing lists, and a few other details, the idea behind these travel packages is to hand you a fantastic experience that requires minimal paperwork and research.

In other words, travel packages let seasoned travelers kick up their feet and hand the responsibilities over to someone else.

Simultaneously, they allow first-time and green travelers to pack their bags in confidence, knowing they have an expert team working overtime.

Want to know the best part? Some of the coolest travel packages out there are heavily discounted on Black Friday. Here’s what you need to know about the best companies offering savings on their travel packages over the next weeks.

Top 3 companies offering Black Friday travel packages

Pack Up + Go

  • Black Friday sale period: November 28 – December 3 (Travel Tuesday)

Pack Up + Go offers a fantastic range of unique trick packages—from personalized vacations to fully secretive Mystery Trips.

You can take advantage of deals that discount your trip for up to $200, along with a shorter Travel Tuesday deal worth up to $150.

I really like how easy it is to shop around for trips on this website, but the cherry on top is all the positive reviews I’ve seen on Pack Up + Go trips, including on Reddit… a platform where travelers don’t hold back.

Naya Traveler

  • Black Friday sale period: Ends December 31

As one of the world’s favorite lux travel groups, Naya Traveler has been shouted out by publications from Forbes to National Geographic.

You can find highly curated and transformative travel packages that take you around the world. The only catch? Naya Traveler is on the expensive side.

This year, Naya Traveler is offering up to 15% off its packages in Morocco and Peru. These are ideal for any traveler who wants to get off the beaten path for quieter and more personal travel experiences.

Traveling Spoon

  • Black Friday sale period: December 2 – 3 (Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday)

Ever heard of culinary tourism? If you’re a hobbyist cook, a Michelin-caliber chef, or still learning the ropes in the kitchen, the Traveling Spoon has an experience for you.

For years, they’ve been connecting travelers to local culture through the lens of food. Featured on the Travel Channel and CNN, this unique company is steadily making a name for itself around the world.

During the Black Friday sales period, you can get up to 15% off on select programs when booking on December 2 and 3.

Inside the Monos Black Friday Sale—How to Save & What to Buy

Monos is one of the most sought-after luxury luggage brands—and their Black Friday sale is the perfect time to splurge on an excellent piece.

The Monos Black Friday sale has been live for a few weeks, but today discounts rise from 30% off to 40% off select markdowns.

You’ve got until December 5 to take advantage of almost half-price for some of the world’s most celebrated and headline-worthy pieces of luggage.

Seriously—stop reading this article and start shopping on Monos… or get a head start with my favorite deals, listed below.

Remember, Monos is one of the most trusted and tested travel brands in the world. I really can’t recommend this sale enough, especially if you’re usually hesitant to splurge on luggage.

Best Monos pieces for Black Friday buys

Carry-On Pro

Monos

This fantastic carry-on has elevated interior features that I love. Its compression straps and mesh lining are top-tier—thicker and more powerful than competitors.

But the coolest feature of the Monos Carry-On Pro is its exterior pocket. It’s got a laptop sleeve and other compartments that make it easy for you to grab something out of your suitcase—no flipping and unzipping required.

Hybrid Carry-On

Monos

Can’t decide between a normal polycarbonate shell and a sleek aluminum suitcase? Go for the hybrid.

The Monos Hybrid Carry-On combines the power of both by layering a metallic finish over that polycarb shell, giving you a nearly unbreakable suitcase. It also comes with a double TSA-lock for added protection.

Check-In Large

Monos

Monos describes this check-in suitcase as ‘generous’, which I think is a fitting description of how spacious this option is.

The reason I’m recommending a larger suitcase is its top-tier design and high-quality materials, meaning you don’t need to worry about the suitcase’s integrity as you fill it to the brim and drag it around the world.

Looking for the Best Road Trip Products? You Need These 5 Picks

There’s nothing like a trip down the open road.

They introduce us to the unexpected—no extra legwork needed.

Maybe you’re drawn to a petrified forest on a road trip down to New Orleans. Maybe you’re going on a fully-fledged road trip across Iceland. Regardless, there’s a new adventure waiting on every byway, side street, and dirt road.

That being said, road trips are hard to pack for. Even more difficult is knowing what kind of road trip products will make a difference in terms of your comfort, safety, and overall happiness.

That’s doubly true when you’re renting a car abroad.

If you want a more comprehensive look at the types of road trip products that can transform your journey, start here. If not, get the lowdown with my five favorite items, listed below.

My favorite road trip products at-a-glance:

  • A multi-functional charging port that won’t get in your way: CociVivre Car Charger Port
  • Discreet hooks that let you hang anything in the back seat: Amooca Car Seat Headrest Hooks
  • A dynamic shade that fits almost any car: PEMOtech Window Shade
  • A multi-purpose bin to combat disorganization: High Road Carhop Organizer (domestic road trips only)
  • A one-size-fits-all cupholder: Seven Sparta Car Cupholder (domestic road trips only)
  • A support pillow that molds to your body: Qutool Lumbar Support Pillow (domestic road trips only)

Best road trips products you can pack with you to take abroad

CociVivre Car Charger Port

Amazon

Don’t get stuck with a rental that has a basic charging port—one that might not work for your smartphone.

This bad boy comes with a 2.4A lightning cable, plus 2.4A USB, Type-C 3A, and PD 3A charging capabilities. That means you can also top up your tablet battery and other smaller devices.

Its cables also pull out and retract, letting you prevent disorganization. Thanks to its small size, you can pack this charger port with you for trips abroad, too. Just make sure to have access to it when you’re heading through security. It might get flagged.

Amooca Car Seat Headrest Hooks

Amazon

These are a little bit clunky—so you might not be able to pack them. That being said, if you’re traveling abroad with plans to rent a car and set off into the sunset, I highly recommend bringing along a storage solution like the Amooca hooks.

They’ll make it that much more easy to hang up coats, bags, and other items from your seatback. That’s doubly important if your trunk is also full of suitcases, and triply important if you’re going to be on the road for longer than a week.

As someone who once went on a month-long romp through the Rockies in a Prius with a friend and our two dogs, headrests hooks would have been a life-changer.

PEMOtech Window Shade

Amazon

The sunnier your destination, the more you need the PEMOtech window shade. It’s like a giant, hyper-thin glove that fits over your car door.

That means it’ll fit just about any type of car so long as it doesn’t have sliding doors. Best of all, this shade folds up into a tiny ball about the size of a sock—be careful not to lose it in your suitcase.

Best road trip accessories for domestic trips

In addition to the road trip products listed above, you can also add these accessories to any domestic trips you have planned. If they aren’t too clunky to pack, you can also take them on any international road trips.

High Road Carhop Organizer

Amazon

This organizer is a little bit large, meaning it might not fit your car if you have a smaller model. That being said, I’d try to make it fit no matter what.

With a cooling compartment, cupholders, and multiple pockets and modular slots for Marie Kondo-level organizing, it’ll prevent your car from slowly turning into a landfill. It’ll also prevent items from slipping into the Netherworld between your seats and the center console.

Seven Sparta Car Cupholder

Amazon

From the Yeti to the Stanley Cup, there’s always a new liquid-receptacle trend on the horizon. Get ahead with this one-size-fits-all cupholder.

Seriously, it’ll even store mugs and tumblers with handles. Pure witchcraft.

Qutool Lumbar Support Pillow

Amazon

Don’t want to turn into Quasimodo on your travels? This lumbar support gives you two ways to maintain your posture while driving, including lower back and upper back support functions.

What I like about this lumbar support pillow is that you can also take it out of your car for use elsewhere. It’s lightweight compared to other options on the market.

Best Black Friday Hotel Deals from Hilton, Hyatt, & Marriott Bonvoy

Black Friday packs a punch for hopeful travelers. There are dozens of ways to save—from luggage sales to discounted flights to travel gadgets of all stripes.

Whether buying accessories or fully pre-planned trips, there’s a deal for every type of traveler out there.

And while some major travel companies have been hesitant to set up large-scale Black Friday sales, that’s slowly changing. When it comes to hospitality, travelers can take advantage of great savings for three global brands, Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott.

Want access to the best Black Friday hotel deals? Here’s how you can take advantage of offers from these trusted names.

Best Black Friday deals from Hilton

  • Black Friday deals available until January 5, 2025
  • Deals apply to stays before April 21, 2025
  • 2-night stay required and 7-day advance booking

Hilton’s Season to Stay Sale is one of the best Black Friday offers from a major hotel chain for two reasons. First, anyone can take advantage of its 20% savings on certain deals. Second, there’s no complicated fine print involved.

The only real ‘catch’ for this Black Friday sale is that deals are available only in the US and Canada. But that’s not unique to Hilton and still lets you shop around thousands of hotels, resorts, and more—so start with Hilton if you want to save on hotel bookings. You have until the new year to make your final selections.

Best Black Friday deals from Marriott

  • Black Friday deals available until December 3 (Travel Tuesday)
  • Deals apply to stays before January 20, 2025
  • Choose from over 7,000 locations around the world and book through the Bonvoy app

Marriott offers quite a few ways to save with multiple sales running this holiday season. The most straightforward and accessible deal is the Cyber Sale for Marriott Bonvoy members. You can save a massive 25% off of all bookings at select hotels worldwide.

That’s a hefty offer—but it’s not quite as competitive when we take a closer look. The main catch is that you have to be a Marriott Bonvoy member to take advantage. Plus, you need to book a stay before January 20, 2025.

While you can choose from thousands of locations on almost any continent, you need to be pretty agile with your travel plans to jet-set to Rome, Rio, or beyond with a month’s notice.

Best Black Friday deals from Hyatt

  • Black Friday deals available until December 9, 2024
  • Deals apply to stays before April 20, 2025
  • Use the code SAVENOW to access special offers at check-out

Hyatt’s Black Friday deal offers savings worth up to 25% for World of Hyatt members and 20% for non-members. If you aren’t a member, it’s a great time to become one. You can sign up easily when finalizing your Black Friday purchases.

Hyatt’s Black Friday deal can be used at select hotels and resorts in the Americas. As a big fan of their Centric and Unbound portfolios, I’d recommend starting there.
