Boutique accommodations, luxury resorts, and urban hotels are scheduled to open next year throughout the United States, offering plenty of new opportunities for romantic getaways, solo trips, or family vacations from coast to coast.

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of forthcoming new properties in the U.S., it’s a handful of spots — in no particular order — that have us excited to hit the road in 2022!
1. Grand Bohemian Hotel Greenville, Autograph Collection
Greenville, South Carolina
Falls Park on the Reedy River in Greenville, South Carolina, has long been the place where locals and tourists gather for picnics, bike rides, public art, and festivals. Adding to the picturesque 32-acre urban playground next year will be The Grand Bohemian Hotel Greenville, opening in May 2022. The 187-room luxury hotel will feature an art gallery, wine room, library, spa, restaurant, and bourbon bar.
2. Hotel Tupelo
Tupelo, Mississippi
Tupelo’s first boutique hotel, Hotel Tupelo, will sit in the heart of Fairpark District (right on Main Street) with 79 guestrooms and suites, a new concept restaurant and bar from a notable local chef, locally inspired artwork, and amenities from area companies. The hotel also promises to be pet friendly and is curating a special package for its pup guests. It’s scheduled to open in February 2022.
3. Conrad Los Angeles
Los Angeles
The first Conrad property in California is set to open this spring as part of a mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles, The Grand LA. With 28 stories, Conrad Los Angeles will have 305 contemporary guestrooms as well as a spa, elevated indoor/outdoor lobby with sweeping views of the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, and a 16,000 square foot rooftop terrace with a private pool deck.
4. The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad
New York City
The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad is north of Madison Square Park (thus, NoMad!) and promises to combine the brand’s legendary service with refined elegance. Newly built from the ground up and one of the tallest buildings in the area, the hotel will have 250 guestrooms and 16 branded luxury penthouse residences with spectacular views from the Empire State Building down to the Statue of Liberty. The hotel is scheduled to open by the end of March 2022 with a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Center, featuring a sauna, steam rooms, and Peloton bikes.
5. The Virginian Lodge
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, marks its official unveiling January 10, 2022, with an entirely reimagined experience: a classic vintage motor lodge celebrating Western grit with a modern twist. The 165 all-new guestrooms feature naturally weathered woods and rich leather furnishings with metal accents woven throughout and a distinct mid-century style. The moderately priced lodge is minutes from Grand Teton National Park.
6. The St. Regis Chicago
Chicago
With an enviable location on the Chicago Riverwalk, The St. Regis Chicago will have 192 sophisticated guestrooms and suites with signature St. Regis Butler Service when it opens in the second half of 2022. Hotel rooms will be on the first 11 floors of a 92-story high-rise building that will also house luxury condominium residences. The building is coated in six varying shades of blue-green glass to reflect the changing colors of Lake Michigan.
7. The Fifth Avenue Hotel
New York City
In summer 2022 The Fifth Avenue Hotel opens in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. A total of 153 rooms and suites will be spread across two distinct structures: a new 24-story glass tower and a restored 116-year-old building originally crafted by famed architects, McKim, Mead & White. The inaugural property’s elegant and sophisticated interiors are centered on three main themes — The Collector, Romanticism, and a return to Classicism — all inspired by the century-old building’s history.
8. Thompson Denver
Denver
Thompson Denver welcomes guests in late January to the Mile High City’s LoDo district, blending mid-century modern and urban style with upscale mountain chalet chic. The new-build hotel will feature Chez Maggy, a sophisticated 90-seat, ground-floor restaurant as well as Reynard Social, a sixth-floor sunroom bar and lounge with a seasonally driven cocktail program, curated wine list, local beer selection, and alpine-inspired bites.
9. Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel
Sedona, Arizona
Amid Sedona’s Red Rock Country, the adults-only Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel is scheduled to open this spring. Guests will stay in luxurious 576-square-foot king-bed accommodations that are each housed in a unique cube-shaped, glass-encased “Atrium.” The floor-to-ceiling windows allow for 360-degree views of the surrounding national forest or striking red-rock formations. Each of the 40 Atriums will have a petite kitchen with on-demand wine dispensers where guests can self-serve from a selection of northern Arizona wines.
10. Wildflower Farms
Hudson Valley, New York
Wildflower Farms in upstate New York is scheduled to open in autumn 2022 on 140 acres filled with orchards, heirloom gardens, and fields of wildflowers, offering an oasis of green space for guests. Conveniently reached by car from Boston and New York City, Wildflower Farms will feature 65 freestanding bungalows, cottages, and suites outfitted with natural materials and amenities. Also on property: tennis courts, a pavilion-style open-air gym, and an Auberge Spa with outdoor hot tubs and indoor saltwater pool.
11. The Slate Denver
Denver, Colorado
Located at the site of the historic original Emily Griffith Opportunity School, The Slate Denver will begin welcoming guests starting in the first few months of 2022. The redevelopment of the 2.4-acre landmark preserved the century-old buildings and will pay homage to the former school with thoughtful design touches and experiences, such as a cozy library dubbed the “Study Hall.” With 251 guestrooms, the four-story property will border Emily’s Alley, an adjacent block with restaurants and retail shops.
12. Humbird
Sandpoint, Idaho
Schweitzer ski resort, the largest in Idaho and neighboring Washington, will soon have a new 31-room hotel featuring gorgeous views of Lake Pend Oreille. Humbird, now accepting reservations for February 1, 2022, and beyond, is the first boutique hotel in the area and its convenient location provides ski-in/ski-out lodging and a restaurant and bar for relaxing after a day of adventures in the mountains.
13. The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley
Scottsdale, Arizona
Set 20 acres of verdant landscape, The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley will feature 215 hotel rooms with private entrances, detached casitas, bungalows, and oversized suites. An exclusive sanctuary just 20 minutes from downtown Scottsdale, the ultra-luxe resort will showcase modern and sleek interiors, stunning views of Camelback Mountain, North America’s longest resort pool at over 400 feet, and a 16,000-square-foot spa. It’s set to open in fall 2022.
14. Sensei Porcupine Creek
Rancho Mirage, California
Sensei Porcupine Creek will convert a 230-acre private estate into an ultra-luxury well-being experience. When it opens in fall 2022, the tranquil and intimate setting will feature a small number of hotel rooms in the former estate house as well as private villas clustered throughout the property nestled against the Santa Rosa Mountains. Like its sister resort on Lanai, Sensei Porcupine Creek will offer spa, nutrition, movement, and other wellness and sports programs.
15. Hard Rock Hotel New York
New York City
Set to open in the heart of Manhattan’s Times Square, the Hard Rock Hotel New York will feature stylish entertainment venues, 446 guestrooms and suites across 36 floors, multiple dining outlets including a rooftop bar and lounge, and priceless memorabilia from some of the greatest musicians who have been inspired by New York City. It’s set to open in April 2022.
16. Banyan Cay Resort & Golf
West Palm Beach, Florida
Poised to open in the first few months of 2022, Banyan Cay Resort & Golf is Florida’s first Destination by Hyatt property. The new-build luxury resort will have 150 oversized rooms and suites as well as 22 three-bedroom villas. Amenities include a spa with treatments inspired by West Indies rituals, two onsite restaurants, a resort-style swimming pool with a poolside tiki bar, six tennis courts, and 18 holes of golf on what is Jack Nicklaus’s 300th signature course.
17. Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis
Minneapolis
Opening in the middle of 2022 just two blocks from the Mississippi River and close to downtown’s North Loop shopping and entertainment is Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis. The fourth-floor pool plaza promises to be a popular, casual spot for relaxing and dining on Italian fare. Its 222 rooms and 39 suites are designed in a sleek style and will be decorated with work from local artisans.
18. Four Seasons Hotel And Residences Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale is a modern reflection of the classic yacht club lifestyle that defines Fort Lauderdale, part of the “South Florida Riviera.” When it opens March 14, 2022, the oceanfront hotel will have 189 rooms, suites, and residences, two ocean-view swimming pools, and a full-service spa with a salt-wall sauna, aroma steam room, and ice fountain.
19. Pendry Park City
Park City, Utah
Set in the heart of Canyons Village at Park City Mountain, the ski-in, ski-out Pendry Park City offers a modernist take on a traditional alpine lodge. Paying homage to the surrounding mountain landscape, the resort features warm, natural design elements that create a contemporary, open feel, and features 153 guest rooms, suites, and residences, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and curated artwork. It opens next month.
20. Raffles Back Bay Hotel & Residences
Boston
Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences is a 35-story, LEED Gold property scheduled to open by the end of 2022. It’s Raffles’ first mixed-use property in North America with 147 guestrooms and 146 residences. Property highlights will include a mix of signature Raffles services such as the Raffles Butler, a two-story sky lobby perched high above Copley Square, a state-of-the-art Raffles Spa with an indoor pool, and a stunning rooftop garden terrace and lounge.
21. Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences
Singer Island, Florida
Set on more than 7 acres of prime oceanfront on Palm Beach County’s Singer Island, the wellness resort will combine Eastern well-being philosophies and Western technology to create personalized journeys for each guest and resident. Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences will feature 155 guestrooms, 34 grand luxury wellness suites, and a four-story spa featuring meditation gardens, tranquility pools, outdoor yoga classes, and sleep specialist services. It’s scheduled to open by June 2022.
