    Beautiful cabin! Thank you!!!
The property is what I expected from the description. It is a older cabin in a neighborhood close to town.
Close to a charming, vibrant town. Comfortable beds. Very well equipped kitchen. Only there for one night and didn’t fully use the cabin. Was surprised and disappointed to be asked in the instructions posted on the refrigerator to run the dishwasher and start the washing machine with a load of towels before we left. Friendly neighbors next door.
Very comfortable and quaint. Nice inside and out.
Very cute little cabin with plenty of room and easy access to downtown and the beautiful CO mountains.

We liked the property, parking is rough if raining; Code opens box to key – key to get in (no one said that). No cable or wifi – that would be a definite upgrade for kids if they had it. Beds were okay. Lots of space and extras. The deck was awesome.
The place is well worth it. It’s relaxing and accommodated 6 adults without any issue. The property is cabin style and huge. It sits on top of the hill overlooking the town. It was a bit hard to find the driveway as the area is really dark after sunset. It is clean but not to our OCD standards :). It could use a bit more general cleaning and update of the furniture. It has a lot of stairs so you can get a lot of cardio workout. It’s not feasible to older and/or unfit people.
We brought our couples friends up for the weekend. The house was nice but a bit under stocked, tp and light bulbs were needed. Town has a cute store to get those little items as needed. We cooked up a nice bbq with the built in grill, but suggestion of some wind breaks to really enjoy the wrap around porch. One of our guest is wheel chair bound, and found leaving and come back a bit difficult.but the living level was nice for her to get around.Over all nice, quiet and close to the casinos. We would stay again.
Nice place. Steep driveway. Good thing we were told to have our 4X4.Didn’t find rules about what to do with sheets and all. also didn’t want to put trash outside in case of bears. So hopefully the owners didn’t think we were messy for not stripping the beds
You get a full perspective of town from the vantage point.

This cabin is amazing! The views, cleanliness, location and all your needs are within this cabin. All u need is your food. The owner Joe is quick to respond and covers all check in and out process which makes this so easy for us. I have to agree with other reviews a curtain on the kitchen door would help with that afternoon heat from the sun. Joe thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us! See you next yr!
House is clean and in the perfect spot. Easy to get anywhere in town and a quick trip to RMNP. Thanks for an amazing experience!
The Kigins’ cabin is lovely, cozy and rustic. We enjoyed the beautiful view of Grand Lake from the porch. Couple small things: Afternoon sun coming into the living room was quite bright and heated up the room. (Good for winter but the weather was mild when we visited so the room got quite warm.) The curtains are very light in fabric and color so didn’t quite block the sun enough – and there is no curtain at all on the porch door, which made the sunlight coming in extremely bright and the room uncomfortable to be in. Also, having to build in the extra time to strip the bed and wash & dry the bedsheets and towels while on vacation was a bit of an inconvenience since we were on a schedule to make our early timed entry to RMNP. Being close to RMNP‘s west entrance and the quick access to the Adams Falls trail was super convenient. The cabin is also located very close to town so that was also a plus. Overall, it is a lovely cabin and we enjoyed our stay.
This was our second time at the cabin and it did not disappoint. We loved drinking coffee on the deck and watching the day begin over Grand Lake. Everything was in working order and the kitchen was well equipped.
Cabin was very clean. Very close to town/ lake and the entrance to the park. Very quiet area.

Just what we were looking for. We spent a week with our daughter, son-in-law, and 3 year old granddaughter. Plenty of room in the house. We could bask in the mountain views with our coffee, enjoy a nice fire pit, and catch way more stars than I’ve seen in a long time. Our granddaughter loved the goat farm a few minutes down the road. The house is about 10 minutes from the town for supplies. Leadville, Independence Pass, and Salida are all relatively close for exploring. The property is huge and borders the national forest. Mike, the host, has a house further up the slope. He was available if needed, but otherwise we had the place to ourselves.
The location was so beautiful every morning we had a great sunrise and at night a great sunset. The colors (reds, orange and yellow) across the tree lines were outstanding. The ponds were so close and the creek was so close you could hear the water running. The large acreage made it fun for running and playing with our dog., Tucker. The house is very comfortable and is very relaxing. I could see myself working remotely from this location, great time here, and we had great weather. Mike (owner) was so pleasant and he ensured that we were taken care of during our 5 day stay. We had an awesome outside fire (great firepit) where we made our smores. In the evening inside the house we had a great fireplace that put so much atmosphere of comfort in the house. I recommend this site to anyone who is looking for quite, beautiful landscape, comfortable house and great way to unwind and destress. Thank Mike we will see you next year.
Mike was great. Greeted us when we got there. We loved the views. Would go again
Property was very picturesque…great views from every direction. It’s an easy shot to BV for shopping and restaurants. Not far from a few really good access points on the Ark for fishing as well as some of the alpine lakes we fished. The ponds on the property are full of fish and would be a great place for kids or beginners, they also make a nice after-dinner diversion for experienced anglers as well. Owner is super friendly and lives in a house a short distance away on the property…he made us feel welcome and comfortable exploring his beautiful land…which connects to the national forest. Beds were very comfortable, house was very clean. We will likely be back!
The property was beautiful and offered something for every one. Wi-fi held up great with all five of us using for gaming.

Everything in the cabin was perfect. Due’s recommendations on wildlife viewing and dinner locations were spot on. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our time in Estes Park. Great place and great hosts.
Great stay at very nice home
This is a lovely house in a great location. The house was clean, well-supplied., and the hosts were very helpful.
The house was exactly as advertised. It was super clean and so close to Rocky Mountain National Park. The property owner was so helpful and super friendly I would definitely stay there again. It was a great stay.
Special, seamless, and personable — all words to describe our interaction with Sue and the AspenHaus. We were greeted by a massive bull elk right outside the driveway. The proximity to the kids park across the street is second to none. A short jaunt to Moraine Park is only 1.3 miles from the front door. And can’t forget about the Big T river just steps away. This was a dream vacation and we will absolutely be coming back. Thank you, Sue!

This was actually our second time renting this house if that tells you anything. Our family of 4 stayed here about 6-7 years ago and we had such a magical time in Grand Lake/RMNP during that vacation, that we decided to do it over again this year! The house is just as described and Gilbert is absolutely fantastic to work with. And the views from the deck are simply breathtaking!! Our kids (11yo and 14yo) loved having the downstairs area to themselves so it was a win-win for all. Grand Lake holds a special place in our family’s hearts and this house does now too!
Modern, well stocked cabin with stunning views on a quiet road. Close proximity to town and RMNP. I can’t imagine there’s a better place to stay in that entire area.
We were impressed with the location and breathtaking views. The cabin was spacious and immaculate. The charming decor added to the overall wonderful experience. The town was within walking distance and there was so much to do in the area. Highly recommend for a perfect getaway!
Beautiful views, beautiful cabin. Everything your family will need. Many extra touches. All the owner stated, but LOTS better! Hope to visit again. SOON!!!! Thank you for wonderful stay
Nice cabin with awesome views from the porch. Amazing way to start and end our day on the porch. We were able to even use part when a shower came thru. Plenty of room inside and everything you need to make the stay comfortable. The checkout procedure is lengthy but detailed.

    Liked the outside patio
A quiet refuge, yet close to all the action!
Beautiful, unique property in an excellent location. The owners obviously take great pride in their home, and providing their guests an excellent experience. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to EP.
My husband and his parents visited Estes park for the first time. We wanted to make it an experience for them and the home was a big part of it. His parents are 70+ and the limited stairs and private bathroom was wonderful. We enjoyed making our dinners in the kitchen. The location and privacy cannot be neat. 10 mins into the park and 2 mins to the grocery store. Would absolutely stay again.
We live in the Denver area and have stayed in Estes Park many times. This is definitely one of the nicest properties we’ve ever stayed in. The style of the home and the well-curated furnishings were a treat. We’ll keep this on our list to return some day.

I was disappointed at the extra charges vrbo and vacasa
My wife, two dogs and I had a marvelous stay at Rio Retreat. Its access to the river walk, downtown, and Yamaguchi Park made it ideal for us. San Juan River access was nice. We ate on the back porch every night as deer pranced by and people in tubes floated by. We slept to the sounds of the river and cool breezes each night. We enjoyed the company of the condo homes next door. The kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals. It was not as secluded as we assumed. It’s part of a busy neighborhood. But we still had a very relaxing and refreshing time.
The beds are horrible. One the mattresses (if you call it that) was maybe 6” thick on a board. The other was not comfy either. Furniture needs to be replaced – couldn’t sit in n it for long . Sofa in living room sags down, bar chairs are broken.
Convenient location in Pagosa. 10-20 minute walk into downtown on a nice paved trail along the San Juan river. Cute 2 bed 2 bath cabin. Both bedrooms upstairs. Very nice, clean and updated. River just down from the back deck. We really enjoyed the sound of the river at night. Some traffic noise in the mornings from the adjacent road but nothing major. About 2 blocks away from a nice park.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy mountain cabin. The house provides everything needed for a relaxing stay and for cooking some meals at home. The kitchen has everything needed. The mattress in the smaller bedroom upstairs needs replacing. Renters should also be aware that there is a little traffic noise from the overpass nearby, although there is minimal traffic flow most of the time. Otherwise, the sound of the river is great and we had a lovely time!
