This was a very cozy home. The pool was awesome. Greg and Nancy were the perfect hosts. Gave us great advice about a cute town to visit. One of the best places we have stayed!
2nd time we have stayed here. Great place to wind down summer in the pool.
It may be hot in Texas but we forgot about it with such a comfortable home and the fun we had in the pool. Close enough to many things.A great weekend gateway. We wished we had more days.
This was a return visit. Had a Great time. Like coming home and vacation rolled into one. Greg and Nancy are the best! Can’t wait to return.
This is my family’s favorite vacation place

I recently booked for my girlfriends birthday, and let me tell you I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED AT ALL!! The whole experience was AMAZING, there’s Deer, Smokers for BBQ, A whole waterfall to relax and listen to, and of course the great view of Lake Travis!! Great place to stay even Uber eats delivers that far. Cool thing about it as well is, there’s a Winery down the street!!!
We had an amazing time in the cabin, i do wish that the upper part of the loft where we slept had curtains. But other than that we had fun exploring the different place around spicewood. We’ll definitely have to plan for another trip back to spicewood.
Everything is good except there’s no door lock at front. Hoping the property is sanitized with Lysol against Covid-19 not only hand sanitizers but also a spray available for beds, pillows and blankets..
    Great atmosphere
Quiet place right on the river. You are left alone to enjoy your stay which was great but also quick to reply when I had a question. Only draw back was our room wasn’t cleaned very well at all and bed linen had not been changed.

Loved how close this was to Fredericksburg, and how quiet the areas was. Nice fire pit outside and comfortable.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. The house was so clean and from the kitchen to the bathroom we had everything you needed for a full weekend stay. We went for my sisters bachelorette party so there were quite a few of us staying but never once did we feel crowded. Town was so close but you felt so secluded and secure which is nice when you’re with a large group of girls. They have a fire pit with everything you need to start it which was amazing and a full coffee bar which was a nice start to the day especially sitting out on the front porch rocking.
I dont normally write reviews but the host was very friendly and stopped by to check in on us. The upstairs is more spacious and probably a better place to hang out than the first floor. The stairs are on the exterior of the house to get to the 2nd floor.
This property was absolutely perfect! Very short drive to town, and also very private. Perfect for a Fredericksburg get away! Check in process was very easy and property manager was helpful and quick to respond if we needed anything. Absolutely loved our time out in Fredericksburg and this house was a big part of that and really made the experience perfect. We were here for a wedding at Swallows eve and it was only a 7 minute drive through the connecting neighborhood up the street. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a more secluded, yet also very short distance away from everything.
We LOVED this stay! Beautiful and great for a quick girls trip! Quiet area and grazing cows to watch in the mornings while drinking coffee in the rocking chairs.

The owners of this house are gracious hosts. We would definitely recommended staying in their home in one of the two rooms available. Breakfast was our choosing to include time. House is in an area that is peaceful and the room was great, bed very comfortable. Please consider this option if needing a get away of needing to be in the area for business. Dave and Laura 9/3/2018

Clara’s House At The Homestead in Dripping Springs$165/nightly avg

One of three historic homes available on this lot in Dripping Springs, Clara’s House is another landmark home and a great way to get in touch with Texas history. Rough stone walls are visible in most rooms, just as they would have been in houses all across America during the frontier days. The furniture matches the period style. Seeing the home, it’s no surprise that it has earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places. It has two queen bedrooms and a select few modern amenities. Don’t forget to take time to smell the roses that flourish across the property.

The firefly room is perfect for a couple to just relax and enjoy each other 🙂 10/10 recommend to anyone! Room was clean and air conditioner worked perfect!
With 6 kids at home and being in the midst of wedding plans. My love and I most definitely needed some time to ourselves to reset, reboot and check in on each other. This place was more then what was advertised. We love the peace and tranquility that it provided. Beautiful breath taking views. And the privacy was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for helping us with the recharge that we needed!
the place was very clean. The lake is just a short walk down and we had access to the boat dock to swim off of. Complimentary snacks and water were a nice touch. Definitely will be back! Thank you for an amazing stay.
This trip was the best Austin get away. The property manager was very nice and quick to respond to any of my questions. The Firefly Tent was amazing! Very clean and had an A/C unit and two fans. We also loved the colorful lights that reflected to the top of the tent. Another plus was the dock! All guests can hang out on the dock free of charge with the option to use paddle boards, jet skis, or even rent a boat for a small fee. We had the best time and we are already planning our next stay!

The Kottage In Washington County$249/nightly avg

Look out at the protected patch of prairie from this home built by German settlers well over a century ago and see a slice of Texas that few have had the pleasure of witnessing. Up to eight guests can enjoy this historic 26-acre property. This is a rare chance to see the prairie as it used to be. The home has its share of old objects, but there are many more to be found in the shops of Brenham (the purported Antique Capital of Texas) and Round Top (host of a twice-yearly antique festival).

Great location for Round Top shopping. Very sweet hosts.
Me and my girlfriends stayed here for Antiques Week and had a great time. Eric and Deborah were very communicative the entire time. This was a great little find just outside of Round Top set on a quiet little piece of land, yet literally six minutes from Round Top square. They made us fresh breakfast every morning. The Cowboy Coffee Cake was awesome! The house was clean and charming. There are two bedrooms and then a little add-on space (which May have been a garage at one point) through the second bathroom that had an open concept with another kitchen and more beds. You could also access the ad on from outside. The porch was excellent for relaxing! We were able to feed the cows and took a short little walk down to the pond to feed the catfish.
    Great!
A short relaxing get away to celebrate birthdays and spend time with family. We had a very peaceful time. Just the escape we needed to recharge.
Our stay was great. Great hospitality and yummy breakfast. Home is cute and comfortable for our group.

Very nice place, right on Main Street bear the shopping and restaurants.
Great location, but some what noisy because of the location.
Almost a time period flash back, really neat! Black out curtains, nice touch. It’s right in the middle of town: great for walking to restaurants, might need earplugs till traffic settles down.
The location was prefect and the roominess of the suite was excellent.
Location was on Main Street and could walk to everything! Would differently stay again!

The Lisenby-Campbell House in Spur$299/nightly avg

This historic home in Spur, an hour east of Lubbock, has been around for about as long as the town itself — built in 1926. It is the very model of a century home, updated in terms of appliances and plumbing but filled with furniture and woodwork that shine with old-timey allure. It has five bedrooms and can comfortably sleep up to 11 people. Whether you come to Spur for hunting or simply to experience a slice of life in West Texas, this bed and breakfast is the best way to get the most out of the experience.

This house is outstanding! We have 5 guys for a Dove Hunt and each had our own room and bed! The Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room are plenty large and love the big front porch! It was wonderful sitting on the porch and watching the world go round in Spur! This was the best hospitality we have ever received from a VRBO owner, they left us chips and salsa along with beer and drinks in the fridge! I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking to hunt in Spur!
We stayed here to be near the location of our daughter’s wedding. This was the only available vrbo in the area for our large group; there were 9 of us. It was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other rentals we’ve used. The only spices on site were salt and pepper, and there were casserole dishes but no cookie/baking sheets. However, the dishes and pans that were on site were very nice.I feel like communication regarding check in could be improved. There’s no instructions for guests on how to access the property like we’re accustomed to. Other rentals we’ve used had a code to get in the door or to get the key out of a lock box. It gives travelers peace of mind to know ahead of time how you’ll get in the house. At this location, someone ended up bringing us a key.Overall, we would stay at this historic location again if we needed to be in the area.Sitting on the large front porch was wonderful, and we would recommend thia rental to friends. 🙂
