Formerly, these companies offered competing routes across the continent, operating with different European rail companies. Since they have merged, you have one key benefit: You can purchase rail passes that let you zip across Europe using a single digital pass that works for over 230 rail companies.
That’s a big deal in and of itself, especially for Americans who are easily turned around by train routes, train companies, and complex timetables. (If you’ve visited Italy, you’ve probably been hit with a problematic train strike, too.)
But this merger is even sweeter thanks to a week-long promotion period, which is now live. Here’s how you can save up to 50% on popular train passes that let you travel between 33 European countries.
Inside the week-long Interrail train pass sale
Again, Eurail is now Interrail. You might remember Eurail if you shopped around for rail passes that let you use trains to get around Europe—it was the most popular option for Americans thanks to its multi-country and multi-day passes.
