Christmas light shows offer just as much magic for families and couples looking for that cozy, celebratory feeling. They come in all shapes and sizes, too, from drive-through light shows in famous neighborhoods to Hollywood-caliber light shows at major attractions.
There’s just one catch: compared to Christmas markets, not all Christmas light shows get the same amount of publicity. Similarly, new light shows tend to fly under the radar—even those held close to home.
Luckily, there’s a resource that makes it easy to locate and uncover Christmas light shows in the USA, from zoo light shows to winter garden displays to holiday expresses. Here’s where and how to find them using Best Christmas Markets USA.
How to find the best Christmas light shows in the USA
Best Christmas Markets USA specializes in one thing: making it easy to find Christmas markets and other fanfare close to home. Just enter your zip code, and you’ll see locations with markets close to you and the dates that they’re open. They even have a separate page for German-themed markets, in case you’re looking for more traditional fare.
Christmas markets aside, the website also has a page dedicated to Christmas light shows. Right now, you can search for 139 different shows across the country. You can explore based on location. You can also categorize the list into drive-through light shows and general markets/light shows.
If you navigate below, you’ll see an option to search by state. Or you can scroll the list, checking out dates for light shows, what type of show it is, and whether or not you need a ticket. If you’re checking out Christmas light shows at the last minute, head to the ‘Open this weekend’ button in the top right corner.
