And if you’re from the East Coast, you might already be picturing a little family vacay in Myrtle Beach, the coastline’s most famous and busiest vacation hub.
The big question is—will you book a spot at a popular resort, or will you try to land an Airbnb that can fit the whole family? If you’re considering the latter, you have more options than you might think.
Here’s a short list of the best family-friendly Airbnbs in Myrtle Beach that sleep at least six people and are located right on the water.
Family-friendly Airbnbs in Myrtle Beach that are located on the beach
Colony Resort Oceanfront

- Unit type: Condo
- Bedrooms: Three
- Sleeps: 8
Located on the 21st floor of the Colony Resort on Deephead Swash, this three-bedroom unit gives you larger-than-life ocean views. There’s also a large private balcony where you and your loved ones can take in the sea breeze, along with a unique rain shower head feature. Be aware that this rental has plenty of white features and is ideal for families with older children. It is managed by a rental company and is cleaned professionally.
Condo with 29-Foot Balcony on Golden Mile

- Unit type: Condo
- Bedrooms: Three
- Sleeps: 8
This three-bedroom condo, located on the 17th floor, also gives you commanding views of the Atlantic. The unit is decked out in bright, fun beach décor, too, in case you enjoy that charming seaside cottage vibe. The rental also gives you access to beachside pools, a lazy river, a game room, a jacuzzi, and a gym. But the real perk is the location in North Myrtle on the Golden Mile—it puts you right where you want to be.
Large Mansion with Room for 21

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Nine
- Sleeps: Up to 21
With 6,000 square feet of living space, this massive mansion sits right on the ocean in the heart of Myrtle Beach on North Ocean Boulevard. The driveway can fit up to five to seven cars, depending on their size. (Trailers, motorcycles, and golf carts are also allowed.) It’s also pet-friendly, but has a solid deposit of $250 per bruiser.
Private Mansion on Golden Mile with a Pool & Jacuzzi

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Six
- Sleeps: Up to 17
With 7,000 square feet of room to roam in Myrtle Beach’s Golden Mile, plus a pool and a jacuzzi, this unit is definitely worth the splurge. The bedrooms can sleep up to 17 people, which you can push to 21 if you use the sofa bed and blow-up mattresses. This is definitely a bougie selection—the unit comes with direct, oceanfront views, along with amenities like a movie room and game room.
Classic 1955 Beach Cottage Home with a Wraparound Porch

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Six
- Sleeps: Up to 15
If you like classic beach cottage vibes, this large unit will make you feel at home. The wood features are interspersed with brighter rooms, creating a vintage-like feel that honors the home’s 1955 completion date. The wraparound porch is particularly lovely and is outfitted with furniture like a dining table and hammocks.
Luxury Beach House That Just Went on the (Airbnb) Market

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Four
- Sleeps: 8
Smaller than the rest and a few blocks from the beach, this brand-new property just went on the (Airbnb) market. The rooms are spacious, bright, and decked out with modern amenities and features—from Roku-powered smart TVs to the Xbox. There’s also a shared pool that you and your family can enjoy.
Redecorated Rental 150 Steps from the Beach

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Three
- Sleeps: 8
This rental home was recently overhauled, meaning you can expect a fully refreshed interior in this classic beach cottage. The beach is just across the street, while the shared pool is directly outside the rental. Plus, the unit comes with beach supplies like a buggy, cooler, beach chairs, and towels. The garage has room for three cars.
Beach House Across the Street from the Beach

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Four
- Sleeps: 10
From what I can tell, this unit is very similar to the one listed above—except that it’s set up for sleeping up to ten guests in four bedrooms. The beach is right across the street, while the shared pool is located immediately outside the rental. You can also bring your pets to this unit with a fee of $170 per pet.
Luxury Beachfront Home that Sleeps Up to 26

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Eight
- Sleeps: Up to 26
Want enough room to bring you entire extended family? This oceanfront rental is just outside of Myrtle Beach in Surfside Beach, but I’m including it because of its sheer sleeping capacity. It’s a luxury home that can sleep up to 26. If you’re going to bring that number of people, I recommend reaching out to the host to see how the sleeping arrangement is—it’s slightly unclear based on their description. Plus, you need to bring your own linens.
There’s also a private pool (which you can pay to heat), a hot tub, and two separate gaming areas outdoors. There’s also an outdoor shower and two separate covered porches to enjoy.
OTT Home That’s Perfect for Little Kids

- Unit type: Private home
- Bedrooms: Three
- Sleeps: Seven
If you’re traveling to Myrtle Beach with the hopes of making your kids, nieces, and nephews happy, book this Airbnb. It’s decked out with colorful, neon-lit decals that kids will love—especially in the game room. Other rooms have lovely sea themes, including large-scale murals of sea turtles. There are also plenty of beach supplies for the family, including towels and toys. Just know that this rental isn’t right on the ocean—you need to walk a few blocks.
