Now and then, I hear rave reviews of tour companies.
Videos by TravelAwaits
I hear about how they change travelers’ lives, spark new interests, and otherwise transform their lives—at least, for a short period.
Usually, there’s a drawback involved. Maybe the tour was fantastic, but too expensive to repeat. Maybe the tour leader was incredible, but travelers wouldn’t want to chance it with another guide. Maybe the whole experience but awesome, but the tour’s main focus (history, art, etc.) didn’t hit the mark.
But not always.
I’ve been hearing rave reviews about a tour company called Rabbie’s. This isn’t a sponsored post—I’ve actually been hearing great things about the company, and it’s gotten to the point that I’ve decided to see what the fuss is about.
With a near-perfect five-star rating from TrustPilot based on almost 30,000 reviews, Rabbie’s isn’t just a hit when it comes to word of mouth. It’s a tried-and-true tour company that has some of the best private tours of Scotland, Ireland, England, and other parts of Europe.
The tours are reasonably priced. The destinations are can’t-miss. And the guides are passionate, experienced, and really good at managing small groups with diverging interests.
If you’ve been dreaming about taking private tours in Scotland, Ireland, and beyond, put Rabbie’s on your to-do list in 2026. Again, this isn’t a sponsored post. I’m just passing on what seems to be one of the British Isles’ best tour companies.
6 best private tours in Scotland, Ireland, England, and beyond from Rabbie’s
Obviously, you can shop around on Rabbie’s website to find the perfect tour for your needs. Some are small group tours, others are fully private. Some are day tours, and others are multi-day adventures.
Here’s what I’ve got my eye on:
The Isle of Skye

- 3 days
- Departs from Glasgow
Take on the impressive Isle of Skye to delve into the heart of Scotland. This three-day tour takes you through the area’s most stunning landscapes, where you’ll hear about the enduring legends that define the countryside. Unlike shorter day tours of the Isle of Skye, this multi-day adventure lets you dig a little deeper into local history at its off-the-beaten-track locations.
Stonehenge & the Cotswolds

- 1 day
- Departs from Bath
Get the low-down on Stonehenge before heading to some of the most picturesque villages and forests in England. The Cotswolds are known for their picturesque cottages and stone-cobbled streets—sort of like something you’d see from a Harry Potter movie. Stonehenge, I’m sure, needs no introduction.
Outlander Adventure

- 1 day
- Departs from Edinburgh
Step into the shoes of Jamie and Claire, the protagonists of the hugely popular historical fantasy series, Outlander. This day trip takes you to some of the most memorable locations from the TV show and book series, from ancient castles to historic villages. All the while, your expert guide will point out the legends, traditions, and real-life stories that influenced the book series. I also assume there are dashing Scottish lads for ogling? (Right?)
*Rabbie’s also offers four-day Outlander-themed tours, in case you want a longer adventure.
Snowdonia, North Wales, and Chester

- 1 day
- Departs from Manchester
From Manchester, some of England and Wales’ most dramatic landscapes become your oyster. You’ll adventure to places like Conway, where King Edward built a castle, then move on to the peaks of Snowdonia, where the legendary King Arthur slayed a dragon. Lastly, you’ll finish off the trip in Chester to visit one of England’s most impressive cathedrals and gorgeous Tudor architecture.
The Complete Loch Ness Experience

- 1 day
- Departs from Inverness
The name says it all. This day trip lets you delve into the history, wonder, and monstrosity of the Loch Ness monster. On your monster-hunting adventure, you’ll visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle and get out on the lake on a short cruise. Plus, the tour includes stops along the lake’s south shore, where there are usually less crowds and traffic.
The Ultimate Tour of Ireland

- 13 days
- Departs from Dublin
Forget all the homework and hand off your grand tour of the Emerald Isle to the great minds at Rabbie’s. From the Cliffs of Moher to Giant’s Causeway to the coastal town of Galway, this tour takes you to the island’s most stunning sites—including the villages, landmarks, and roadside stops that shorter tours miss.
I did a private one-week tour of Ireland back in 2022 (not with Rabbie’s) and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Ireland has more history and folklore to dig into than most think, meaning you need a qualified (and hopefully chatty) guide.
