Virgin Voyages is launching what it’s calling the most epic loyalty program at seas. The Sailing Club will have benefits, exclusive offers for the remainder of the year, and unlocks a limited window of opportunity for its Sailors to make it to the brand’s highest status tier in 2023.

“This brand was built on innovation, so we’re taking a truly unique approach and developing a program that will give Sailors a taste of what’s to come while rewarding those who’ve supported the brand all along,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, President and Chief Experience Officer. “I’ve met so many incredible Sailors, many who’ve voyaged with us more than 10 times since we’ve launched, and this new program is a thank you for their commitment. We’d also love their help in shaping the future and are seeking their ideas to create a game-changing loyalty program they’ll fall in love with.”
Deep Blue Extras
The first perk is Deep Blue Extras, giving Sailors a bunch of luxurious opportunities to get the VIP Treatment if you book in 2022. This includes a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne, anytime boarding, premium Wi-Fi, exclusive cocktail parties, access to a dedicated agent, and laundry services. These are only available when you book in 2022.
Red Hot Booking Bonus Months
The second perk is available from August 30 through November 15, 2022. Any new qualifying booking will allow qualifying Sailors to be treated to special on-board spending perks and chances to win extraordinary experiences across the Virgin family. This includes a chance to win a luxurious trip to Ulusaba, Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa, and Virgin Points through Virgin Red, the rewards club from Virgin designed to give you exclusive access. If Sailors take advantage of this perk by making a qualifying booking before November 15, they’ll earn an extra $200 in on-board spending credit, known as “Sailor Loot.”
Who Can Unlock Perks
There are three ways to unlock these perks: as a Sea-Blazer, a Sea-Rover, and through the Match & Sea More program.
Sea-Blazers set sail in 2021, the first to come aboard and sail with Virgin in its first year of operation in 2021. This includes a $125 Bar Tab Bonus for life.
Sea-Rovers sailed with Virgin twice in 2022. They’ll earn a $100 Bar Tab Bonus for two years, valid through 2024.
Match & Sea More Sailors are enrolled in a rewards program with another cruise line, or even select airlines. Virgin will match whatever you’re offered and give you more when you book a voyage. That includes Sea-Rover status and the $100 Bar Tab Bonus.
Tokens In 2023
As a loyalty member, every dollar you spend from September through December 31st, 2022, on voyage fares and onboard, will be counted as “Tokens” in 2023. All of the money spent with Virgin Voyages since inception will be counted and tallied. As an exclusive perk for all loyal Sailors, every dollar spent during these Red Hot Booking Bonus Months, up to four Tokens per dollar for Sea-Blazers, and three Tokens per dollar for Sea-Rovers, will contribute to an individual’s future status. These Tokens will then be shared with you in 2023. As the program is unveiled next year, the Tokens will fast-track you to the highest and most luxurious recognition Virgin has to offer.
Channel Your Inner Richard Branson
Virgin is encouraging members to channel their inner Richard Branson, using a sense of entrepreneurship and tell them what the company should be offering to guests. Virgin wants to know what they can do to elevate the program, and make the program the best at sea.
