8 walkable Airbnbs in Baltimore
Secret Garden

This unique one-bedroom unit is in the highly walkable Fells Point area, near Little Italy and many of Baltimore’s trendiest new hotspots. The unit is located on the ground floor and has a large, open-plan setup. The coolest feature is its covered patio, which leads to a private backyard area that has small trees and walls covered with crawling ivy. It’s a half-indoor, half-outdoor space that’s been lovingly handcrafted by the hosts, who live upstairs. Just know that there’s no kitchen, just a microwave, coffee setup, and mini-fridge.
Mermaid House

Here’s another Fells Point gem, which is located in its historic area and close to the famous, cobbled Thames Street. There, you can find some of the neighborhood’s top restaurants, bars, and shops. Great location aside, this two-bedroom unit is a steal thanks to its cozy, bright décor and its furnished patio, which feels like a secret garden. There’s also a full kitchen and a bathroom with a shower-tub.
Historic Bank Loft

You’ll find more than a few cool converted Airbnbs in Baltimore—but this might be the best. This one-bedroom Airbnb is inside a historic Polish bank that dates back to the 1800s. The living room and bedroom have grand ceilings with column facades that feel like they’re straight out of a movie. Despite the former bank setting, there’s a full kitchen and bathroom for you to use, along with a washer-dryer. Unique setup aside, you’re within the highly walkable Fells Point-Little Italy area.
Unique Studio

Here we have another converted space. The property dates back to the 1800s and was later turned into a bar in the 1900s. The current owners have transformed the former Fells Point bar into a 500-square-foot studio, which has partial exposed brick walls. Though you have a full, modern bathroom, keep in mind that there’s no kitchen—just a bare-bones kitchenette that will work for shorter trips. In exchange, the prices are very budget-friendly.
Charm City

This two-floor, three-bedroom home is located in the scenic Riverside Park neighborhood, close to Federal Hill Park. It’s housed inside a historic rowhome that dates back to the early 1900s—you’ll feel that rich character throughout, especially through the rental’s wood and brick features. You also have two separate furnished outdoor spaces to enjoy, including a back patio and a rooftop terrace offering city views.
Historic Row 1BR

Finding walkable Airbnbs in Baltimore isn’t the tough part of visiting the city—it’s finding parking. If you need a parking spot, this one-bedroom rental in Washington Hill, near Little Italy, has you covered. The historic rowhome has tall ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and modern renovations throughout—but its top feature is its reserved parking space. Even better, the host has a bike for you to use during your stay, letting you forget those car keys for a while.
Studio Apt. in Historic Chapel

Like I mentioned above, Baltimore isn’t short on repurposed Airbnbs. However, this studio doesn’t retain its historic setup, meaning you might forget you’re inside a converted chapel after entering. As with other conversions, there’s no kitchen, just a small kitchenette. However, the bathroom is large and modern, with a rain shower. According to guests, the bedding is also ultra-comfortable, with fluffy feather bedding. Lastly, you also have free parking with this unit, as with the last.
Notel 9

Looking for a hyper-affordable rental with a sauna and a tub for a spa-like escape? So long as you’re okay forgoing space, you’ll like this rental. It’s a small one-bedroom with a bathroom with a claw-foot tub and a separate dry sauna, along with a large, shared courtyard with whimsical décor. The kitchenette consists of a mini-fridge, coffee setup, and a microwave, along with some dishes, glassware, and cutlery. You can also book spa services through the host, if you really want to maximize your downtime.
