Even if you’ve been a perennial visitor to this South Carolina hotspot, there’s always something new to uncover. In fact, for me, that’s part of the magic of sticking to a favorite vacation spot: You get to keep learning about the area while enjoying the things you love most.
One of the best ways to rediscover a place that you love, especially if it’s been a while since you visited, is to see what’s on in terms of tours. In Myrtle Beach, you can find tours for a wide range of activities—they’re also an easy way to nab great seats or special tickets to events, like comedy shows and escape rooms.
If you’re heading back to Myrtle Beach this summer and want something fresh and new to try out, start with these suggestions. You might be surprised by the range of things to do in Myrtle Beach in 2026.
Tours in Myrtle Beach that get you out in nature

River Tubing & Kayaking on the Waccamaw
Swap out your beach day for a relaxing day trip into nature. This tour takes you to the Waccamaw River, where you can choose between tubing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Aside from adventures in the water, there’s also an Outpost facility nearby. There, you can set up for a picnic at grill facilities and around a fire pit.
Waccamaw River Nature Tour
If you want to learn about nature on the Waccamaw, head to Waccatee Zoo. From there, you’ll head out onto the Waccamaw River and the Intracoastal Highway. As you drift along the water, your guide will point out aquatic birds like cormorants, egrets, herons, and more. If you plan to look for wildlife, bring along your binoculars.
Salt Marsh Kayak Maze Tour
This kayak tour takes you through the winding salt marshes north of Myrtle Beach. You can learn about wildlife and marine life from your guide, then head to a place that’s safe for swimming. This is also a casual kayaking tour, meaning it’s great for kids (ages 3 and up) and doesn’t require any previous experience.
Saltwater Marsh Eco-Tour with Marine Biologist
Explore the saltwater marshes of Murrells Inlet with an expert marine biologist as your guide. As you take the slow cruise through the waterways, you’ll learn about how saltwater marshes work and the creatures they’re home to. There are even live touch tanks on board, letting you get hands-on with some ‘local residents’.
Murrells Inlet by Moonlight
If you’d rather explore Murrells Inlet with a bit more flair, head out on this night outing. It includes a slow, relaxing ride along the waterways while a narrator shares tales about the area. You’ll hear the lore and legends that have been passed down for generations around the area, delivered by a passionate (and costumed) guide.
Segway Tour of Huntington Beach State Park
Segway into nature with this tour of Huntington Beach State Park, which is a wetland preserve. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot animals like alligators, sea turtles, and maybe even a mink as you zip around the paved pathways. The tour ends near Atalaya Castle, in case you want to make time to visit afterwards.
Sunset & S’mores
As the sun sets, you’ll head down the river on a kayak or small boat to River Island Outpost. There, you’ll be treated to a small bonfire and all the materials you need to make a delicious s’more… or ten. I can’t think of a better way to round off a group trip.
