One thing I love about flying Delta is the airline’s unique partnership with Airbnb.

Way back in 2016, Delta and Airbnb first joined forces to offer a pretty unbeatable travel deal: SkyMiles members could earn miles every time they booked an Airbnb. Today, the offer is a one-to-one matchup, letting you earn one mile for every dollar spent on a booking.
It’s not a seamless arrangement; to take advantage, travelers must be active SkyMiles members and can only shop for participating Airbnbs. In other words, you can’t shop around for Airbnbs directly on the website, then put in a promo code to turn your total payment into SkyMiles.
Instead, you need to find an Airbnb through the Delta portal. Still, it’s a pretty sweet setup—especially considering there’s no cap to how much you earn. If you spend thousands on an Airbnb, you’ll earn thousands of miles straight to your Delta account.
And while it’s been a bummer of a year for travel with skyrocketing costs and a growing list of travel authorization requirements, there’s a silver lining: Delta just expanded its partnership with Airbnb. Here’s how you can take advantage.
Delta adds experiences and services to its Airbnb partnership
Historically, Delta has only listed Airbnb rentals on its SkyMiles-Airbnb page. As of May 5, 2026, SkyMiles Members can now earn miles when they book experiences and services.
If you’re new to Airbnb experiences and services, check out this piece I did on some of the top activities available in Seattle on Airbnb. In short, experiences are tours that you can book directly on the platform, a la TripAdvisor or Viator. Services cover things like haircuts, massages, and more.
There’s a catch, though: You don’t earn one mile per dollar spent. You earn three miles for every dollar you spend.
Even better, Airbnb has also added a Delta widget to its app, making it even easier for you to see which rentals, experiences, and services are available for SkyMiles Members.
If you’re a SkyMiles Member, the next time you make a booking on Airbnb, check out the Delta portal first. While the Delta portal has fewer Airbnb rentals, experiences, and services than the primary platform, you can still find great picks. And they’ll help you earn miles with each dollar—or three times as much, in the case of experiences and services.
