This property is in a great location! Shops and food choices walkable and short walk to the beach. Nice to have chairs , cooler, and boogie boards to use as well. We were there only 2 nights. Since it is a VRBO a few different rules apply. You can get as many beach towels as you want but bath towels was an issue. But I contacted Steve and was able to get more bath towels. Small studio room but was all we needed for our short stay and your never in your room.
The condo was exactly what we needed for our short 3 day visit. The check in process and communication throughout with Steve was great. The location was ideal for walking and sight seeing with the beach located right across the street!
The property is located in an excellent area. That said, the hotel has seen better days and is showing it’s age. The unit was extra small due to the addition of a full size refrigerator and small bar sink in the living area. In addition, when the bar lets out on the street level it can get rather loud.
Perfect location for those who want unobstructed views and easy access to the east side of Waikiki. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony overlooking the zoo and awesome views of Diamond Head and the beach. Some street noise at night, but that’s typical of Waikiki. Unit is small, but comfortable, perfect for a solo traveler or a couple packing light. Excellent communication and instructions from Steve.
The condo has a great view of both Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, absolutely breathtaking. Steve was wonderful, we had no issues which is great and he answered our questions quickly even providing recommendation for cab service. It is near everything. Aloha.

this really is just as described and has a truly stunning view. the owner was really kind and considerate and you can tell she has put a lot of love and care into providing all the extras you might ever need. also was really great at communications and was a pleasure to deal with. we would not hesitate to strongly recommend this property to anyone
Host was very kind and thoughtful. All my needs were taken care of. Plenty of privacy, great area close to shopping and easy to get out and explore the island.
My girlfriend Elizabeth and I had a wonderful vacation at Claudia and Ken’s Hawaii Kai Guess House! The panoramic view from the many windows is fabulous! The unit is super clean with very nice furniture and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking most of our own meals during our 10 day stay. The bathroom also has a nice collection of toiletries is case you forgot to pack an item. As weather was windy and overcast we took day excursions. The location was perfect for driving from one end of the island to the other. Claudia was a very informative tour guide. There is plenty to see and do on Oahu. The WiFi and TV reception is very good. The washer and dryer were handy and the linens were luxiurious! We highly recommend this apartment for a relaxing vacation!! Aloha
Our accommodations were perfect as well as our hosts Claudia and Kevin.
We had the most amazing vacation! My husband & I stayed with our daughters (ages 12 & 13). The home is gorgeous, clean, & extremely well cared for. Claudia & her family were caring & accommodating during our entire stay. We found so much to do in the area & filled our days with fun in the sun. At night, we enjoyed coming home & relaxing. The views are spectacular & the winds are calm & peaceful. We would love to come back again someday 🙂

We felt we were at home! Spacious bungalow. Nice shower(no bath tub). Was cool indoors with just the fans running even with 30C temps outside. Owner very accommodating. Willing to replace any item in disrepair. Was able to create great meals with the bar fridge, two burner elements, and griddle. Beds were very comfy. 1km walk to beach. Lots of beach chairs, etc. 250m walk to bus stop; #67 takes you to Mall in Waikiki which is a short walk from the Hawaiian Hilton Village.
The property and homeowner (Leonard) were absolutely wonderful. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Leonard was a delight to talk to. We were a 7 minute walk to the beautiful Kailua beach and 5 minutes from shopping, grocery stores, and tasty treats. About 30 minutes from all the “big to-do’s” on the island. Would definitely recommend.
This place couldn’t have been more prefect! It’s located on a small cul-te-sac, with no traffic, 1/4 mile south of town, and the beaches are less than 3 minutes away. The rental has everything you need for the beach. I was initially worried about the little kitchen, especially the size of the refrigerator, as I love to cook, even on vacation. But it worked out perfectly. I had plenty of room for my culinary supplies. And Leonard was a gracious host. Accommodating in every way!
Perfect for our family ! Had everything we needed. Boogie boards , sand pails , mats! The rooms were comfortable. We will stay again sometime!!! Host very nice. Thank You
Had a great stay in Kailua – much more relaxed than Honolulu. Apartment has kitchen as well as beach chairs, cooler and bodyboards to borrow which is super helpful. Parking easy out front. Leonard was great to meet and is very helpful. Great location – short drive to beautiful beaches and hikes, and a nice variety of restaurants in town. Hit Foodland for over a dozen Poke flavors! 30min drive to Waikiki, a bit over an hour to North Shore. Check out the Poi Factory and Nico’s restaurants, plus the Toa Luau and Matsumoto’s Shaved Ice in Haleiwa. For hikes: Makapu’u Lighthouse, Lanikai Pillbox and Diamond Head Crater all are a good workout with awesome trails and views.

Best location, best price, best everything!! It felt like we were Kailua residents for a few days – private parking, private beach entrance (far enough from the public beach that we had the beach to ourselves), and the accommodations are perfect. Hosts had thought of everything for us – cooler, beach chairs, towels, even after sun aloe for when I didn’t wear enough sunscreen. Perfect getaway for a couple, even has a private balcony with a sunrise ocean view.Stay here!!
It’s a small place, basically just one large room. Certainly perfect for someone traveling alone as I was. Also fine for a couple who doesn’t mind a smaller place. The location is absolutely unbeatable, being a very short walk to the sand.
This place is legit!! The location is incredible–a short walk down a private path to a wonderful, quiet beach. This place is perfect for a couples trip–plenty of room and all the amenities you could ask for. We will definitely stay here again!!
We had a pleasant time in the treehouse and enjoyed the close beach. Would return anytime.
The “treehouse” is amazing in every way, from the location steps away from the beach, to the beautiful aesthetic and friendly neighbors, to the ease and kindness of check-in and communication with the owner. Best place I’ve ever stayed in all of Hawaii, and I’ve been to the islands many times. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

My family very much enjoyed our time at this property. It was clean, had a fully-stocked kitchen, and included some great amenities, including home entertainment, beach equipment, and easy laundry access. It’s in a great location — safe & quiet neighborhood with easy walking access to the Aikahi shopping center and the beach. There’s a super comfortable king-size bed and a futon couch if you need it. The residence itself is part of a larger house.
This home had everything we needed for our home on the island. The location near Kailua proved perfect for us to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian scenery away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and Honolulu. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and beaches. The AC, Spacious bedroom, newly remodeled shower, full kitchen and beach gear, coolers, etc made it convenient for beach fun.Would stay here again!
as described in the listing, good Kailua location
Property was close to town, close to beach. Owners were great. Lots of beach supplies and kitchen was great. Perfect for family getaway.
Mahalo for such a wonderful stay! The apartment had everything we needed and then some! The water pressure was perfect, the a/c was nice and cold and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Erik was always so quick to respond to me when I needed anything! We appreciate you all so much for sharing your home with us! Until next time!

    Great experience at your property!
We would definitely stay @ this property again. Perfect location, amazing view, accommodations were perfect for a couple! Thanks for all the suggestions of things to do.
Had a great stay, felt very welcome! Located in a safe neighborhood close to a main highway. Appreciated the coffee pods, beach towels and bug spray since I forgot to pack that!
Very convenient, nice and clean. Most enjoyable part was definitely the outdoor seating, great place to have a meal and or just chat and relax. Like home away from home.
Great location for everything: hiking trails, downtown Honolulu, all parts of Oahu.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this centrally located property. It was clean and had a kitchen with a full size fridge. The only thing we weren’t aware of was no AC in the kitchen (fan) or bathroom so we mainly stayed in the bedroom that had a fan and AC. It was extremely hot like a sauna in the bathroom and the kitchen. Also please note no shampoo or conditioner provided just a bar soap. It was great to have access to beach towels & chairs.
Beautiful “home” perfect location and wonderful owners!!!
Gail’s place has everything you need from kids’ beach toys, snorkels, boogie boards, to toiletries, towels, etc. There was no stove but the two top burners were sufficient enough for my family to cook simple meals. The location is absolutely great as you can walk to the beach easily (Less than 15 min to Kailua Beach) and barely a 5 mins drive to Lanikai. Great base to explore Kailua and Kaneohe areas. Thank you Gail for the comfy stay and last but not least, Gail had always been on top of the game when it came to communication and flexibility. What a an awesome and thoughtful host. Mahalo!
We had a comfortable stay at this cozy place, which is a short walk to the most beautiful beach. Gail, the host was very responsive and helpful. Because it’s fairly small, I would say 2-3 people max.
My partner and I had an amazing experience at this little cottage. Conveniently located a walkable distance from the beach, with plenty of beach supplies (towels, umbrellas, wagon, etc) this spot is perfect for those who want to enjoy spend their time by the ocean.

Everything we needed for a happy month in Hawaii. First, the view – breathtakingly beautiful. We spent so much time just enjoying it – from our lanai, the beach, the pier – we couldn’t get enough. The accommodations were exactly what we needed with a comfy king-sized bed, well equipped kitchen, bathroom with outside access, washer/dryer, fast Wi-Fi, and beach toys galore. Kalama was easy to work with and very helpful. Beautiful Waimanalo beach is close enough for a walk, and there are restaurants and Shimas Grocery store nearby. The lighthouse hike is also a short drive away. Very happy! Mahalo!
Awesome ocean views with snorkeling right off the beach. Enjoyed evenings on the pier with relaxing wind and ocean sounds. Occasionally a sea turtle would come to the surface to say hello. Owner/ Captain Mike took us out on an unforgettable sail to Manana Island and back! Unfortunately Robins’ Nest of Magnum PI fame is nothing what it used to be. Our former president purchased this historic landmark through a Chicago Investor and has leveled the main house and seawall and is building a sprawling estate on top of the $8.5 million purchase price of the property. (Pretty good for a job that paid ~$300,000 annually for 8 years.)Other than that enjoyed every minute!
Enjoy my stay in Oahu is this one bedroom loft. Very comfy. This location was perfect for getting around and maintaining a peaceful environment amoung all the tourists. The only thing I would request is a bench or hammock for the loft. Thank you and I will visit again.
Visiting Hawaii with my daughter during a major shutdown, we were elated to find this cozy cottage with an incredible view! The hosts were friendly and very responsive. We look forward to staying here again during our next visit to the islands.

Pros: Property was in a good location with little to no traffic. Cons: House was not well furnished; just a bed, dinning table, and a couch. The beach was not usable and muddy. TV didnt work, AC unit didnt work half the time. Wouldnt recommend it to family or friends.
Beautiful home with amazing views of the ocean and islands.
This was just what we needed…..a slice of Aloha in paradise. Loved the location, the property and Gail’s hospitality. Mahalo, Sandra
As a digital nomad/remote worker, I found the detached rental home to be perfect for working and relaxing. It was in a nice location that had beautiful mountains to the right and back. The ocean view from the kitchen table was priceless. It was great to view as I worked. The interior was organized and nicely decorated with quality appliances. The interior washer and dryer was handy as well. One thing to note is that the wifi worked great on my computer while working inside the rental. The wifi signal on my cell phone was better outside though. The host Gail was nice. She walked me through the interior and exterior of the rental where shared (two other cottages on the property) recreational storage, trash cans, and a grill was located. She also went over the laminated rules about the rental and property. She took care of anything that came up. She also gave me a papaya to enjoy. It was a relaxing stay overall with no problems getting to and from the location with Lyft. Even grocery delivery services like Shipt were able to deliver when necessary.
We found this property to be as shown. Condition was immaculate. Host Gail was friendly and accommodating of needs. Beautiful location with stunning sunrises. Look forward to future stays here.

The Ewa Beach lava house offers the perfect location for viewing spectacular sunrises over Diamond Head and brilliant sunsets to the west. The idyllic setting allows you to take walks on the uncrowded beach, take a dip in the ocean or relax on the large lanai. The house is quaint and nostalgic This laid-back atmosphere and the proximity to many tourist venues is the reason I wanted to stay here on my return visit to Oahu.Don and Violeta have always been great to work with to make sure that your stay is comfortable and accommodating.
Violetta was great to work with and the house/property was just as expected. We had a very easy time rebooking due to covid. The property was simplistic but perfect for what our family of 6 needed. The backyard and beach are definitely the best parts of this home!
Great stay. Perfect location. Great hosts. Will definitely come back.
We loved the patio and how close we were to the ocean. We spent most of our time outside. Always loved coming back to enjoy the ocean.
We loved staying here. So much room outside to entertain, covered, lots of comfortable furniture. The beach, sunrise, sunset, and a nice little sandy walk into the ocean, were as other properties next to us had rocks. Love it! Will stay again.
