In July, 2025, Avis launched a new premium car rental service at select airports.

The company’s goal was to offer a more seamless car rental experience—one that didn’t involve long waits at the car rental counter, complicated shuttle rides to the lot, and a stack of paperwork. Since then, the program has expanded to over 30 airports worldwide, including London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
It even comes with a personal concierge who makes the car rental journey even easier, dropping off your car curbside and sticking around to answer any questions you might have.
If you’re sick of the long, cumbersome car rental process—especially at the airport after a long flight—here’s how Avis First can simplify your life.
Inside Avis First’s streamlined car rental service
As mentioned above, Avis First has one goal: to make your car rental experience a breeze by offering a premium service at the airport. When you book a car with Avis First, you can skip the rental counter and shuttle. You select your rental through the app, then a concierge drops off your car at a pre-set time.
The concierge also helps you load luggage and sticks around to answer questions and get your smartphone hooked up to the car’s system. You can also reach out to ask questions via the Avis app, which has its own concierge.
Speaking of car systems, you also get access to Avis’s premium fleet. All cars are model-year, low-mileage, and have a no-fuss gas policy. You pay for fuel at local pump rates.
