Country Navigator is a company that specializes in cross-cultural fluency in the workplace. That’s a fancy way of saying that they streamline projects and workplaces where there are multiple cultures present in order to improve communication, performance, and trust.

Top 10 countries where Americans are relocating
Country Navigator analyzed a range of factors to determine which countries are best for Americans in terms of joining the workforce and resettling. They studied metrics like the number of American migrants, annual relocation searches, the local labor force, and cultural distance from the US.
The last point is important. As co-founder Chris Crosby says, “How people communicate, how decisions are made, and how relationships are built can vary significantly between countries. In unfamiliar environments, these differences can slow integration, create misunderstandings, and make it harder to settle into a new role.”
When it comes to relocation, these are the top ten countries that Americans want to call their second home:
- Switzerland
- New Zealand
- Republic of Ireland
- Netherlands
- Canada
- Norway
- Denmark
- Australia
- Singapore
- United Kingdom
Of this group, Canada came out ahead in terms of total relocation search numbers. But when it comes to the sheer number of American migrants, Trinidad and Tobago comes out ahead. For every 1,000 people, 674 are Americans—well over 50%. In terms of cultural similarities, Finland took the top spot, meaning you won’t feel so much friction when you visit.
