Do you hate football? That’s okay—you still might like the Super Bowl, scheduled to be played on February 8th in San Francisco.

I’m a big fan of the halftime show and, abashedly, betting on all those prop lines—like which team will win the coin toss and what song the halftime performer will sing first. I like the fashion, the drama, and the overall cultural spectacle.
Though the NFL puts on the Super Bowl to hand off the Lombardi Trophy to the year’s best team, Super Bowl Sunday is designed to be fun for all Americans.
In fact, the NFL creates a multi-day spectacle in its host city. That means that, even if you have no interest in football or attending the Super Bowl, you still have things to do. The NFL calls this its Super Bowl Experience, which will start on February 3rd this year and end on February 7th.
Here’s what you need to know about the NFL’s weekend-long Super Bowl Sunday festivities.
Inside the NFL’s Super Bowl Experience
The NFL will be hosting a five-day-long experience program at Moscone Center North & South in San Francisco. Tickets for adults start at $40 for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, then rise to $50-70 for Friday and Saturday. Kids under the age of 12 get in for free.
The NFL’s programming changes each year for the Super Bowl Experience, but think of it like a convention for hardcore football fans. The NFL has booths and experiences for all 32 teams, along with plenty of interactive exhibits, challenges, workshops, and speakers. There are meet-and-greets, memorabilia displays, and beyond.
Don’t miss these games and challenges at the Super Bowl Experience
Again, I’m not a football fan… but I’d probably enjoy the hell out of my time at the Super Bowl Experience. Here are a few of the highlights from the five-day gathering. (There’s plenty more on the docket—these are just a few stand-outs.)
