Did you know that there’s such a thing as a ‘luxury’ theme park? Or, at least, there will be next year.

While you can absolutely turn a trip to Disney World or Dollywood into an upscale experience, American amusement parks all aim to offer budget-friendly options. Some on-site lodging, dining, and tour opportunities tilt into lux territory—but the overwhelming focus is on accessibility.
VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta, a large theme park located just outside Puerto Vallarta, is set to revolutionize the theme park world. In autumn 2026, the park will open BON Theme Park, a luxury experience located inside the larger park.
VidantaWorld is one of two massive resorts in Mexico: VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta (which will open BON Theme Park next year) and VidantaWorld Riviera Maya. VidantaWorld specializes in large-scale members-only luxury resorts.
Never heard of either? Here’s what you need to know.
VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta’s new edition: BON Theme Park
VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta is located just outside Puerto Vallarta, nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The property offers PGA-level golf courses, world-class dining, and next-level entertainment—including a brand-new Cirque de Soleil water show called Ludo.
Next year, it will open its BON Luxury Theme Park—a one-of-a-kind hospitality offer that I haven’t seen from any other brand.
BON stands for Beauty of Nature and highlights the ‘best of all possible worlds’ when it comes to relaxation and entertainment. The goal is to cater to intergenerational families with rides, experiences, and games that appeal to travelers of all ages.
There will be 23 attractions, which were created by some of North America’s most daring and experienced amusement park manufacturers. In addition to rides, BON Luxury Theme Park will also offer a whopping 25 restaurants and 16 shops. Similar to Disney World and other big-name theme parks, the park will be sectioned off into different themed zones.
There’s even an on-site hotel, The BON Hotel, which offers multi-bedroom lofts and suites. The idea is that families who enjoy amusement parks can stay right on the grounds for easy access.
