Now, in a fun way to celebrate National Sandwich Day on November 3, sandwich giant Subway has announced it will give away 10,000 Subway Series footlong subs to air travelers who were stuck in the middle — or the so-called “sandwich” — seat on that day.
“We have all experienced a ride in the sandwich seat, so offering free, mouthwatering Subway Series footlongs is the perfect way to celebrate sandwiches and our new menu while providing a little relief to sandwich-seat air travelers,” Carrie Walsh, global chief marketing officer at Subway, said in a statement. “From new ingredients and sandwiches to fun and rewarding experiences, we are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our guests.”
How To Enter The Sweepstakes
It will be easy to enter Subway’s sweepstakes.
All you’ll need to do is take a selfie while sitting in the sandwich seat on a flight on November 3.
Then you’ll need to visit SubwaySandwichSeat.com and upload the picture for a chance to win one of 10,000 electronic gift cards that will be used to purchase a Subway Series footlong.
If you aren’t familiar with it, Subway introduced the Subway Series last summer. The 12 signature sandwiches may be ordered by name or number to simplify the ordering process, rather than selecting individual ingredients and toppings while the sandwich is prepared.
The Subway “Sandwich Seat” National Sandwich Day Sweepstakes begins at 12 a.m. Eastern on November 3, 2022, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern on November 4, 2022. Since this is a sweepstakes, no purchase is necessary.

Celebrating National Sandwich Day Without Flying
Finally, don’t worry if you won’t be traveling this week. Subway also has a way for you to celebrate National Sandwich Day without being stuck in the sandwich seat on a plane.
Subway has already started offering another promotion for its footlong sandwiches. When you buy any footlong, you can get a second sandwich free using the FLBOGO promo code on the Subway website or using the Subway app.
As you probably expect, the second sandwich must be of equal or lesser price.
