Marilyn Irwin lives only a short distance from Rocky Mountain National Park, where she served as a park ranger in Interpretation/Education for 29 years. Over the years she led over 35 different programs on animals, history, and the national park to Rocky's visitors both young and old — it was the best job she ever had!

She graduated from Iowa State University with a masters in education and taught elementary students for 33 years, dovetailing nicely with her job as a ranger for the National Park Service. She was also initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honorary during her graduate studies, and currently belongs to the Association Of National Park Rangers (ANPR).
