What to know about Gateside by TSA PreCheck
Like the name suggests, the new Gateside program is available for anyone enrolled in TSA PreCheck. TSA PreCheck expedites security lines for Americans who submit additional information to get their backgrounds verified, and can also keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on when they move through security.
Gateside by TSA PreCheck allows members to request a Gateside Pass that allows them to pass through security and enter select airport terminals. There, they can greet arriving passengers right at their gate, dine at restaurants, shop, and otherwise experience the terminal without any plans to fly.
The goal is to make the airport experience more convenient and family-friendly, while also allowing shops and restaurants in terminals to welcome non-fliers. However, TSA PreCheck members must still go through security to enter the terminal.
For now, the Gateside by TSA PreCheck program is live at 13 US airports, including:

- Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (DFW)
- Detroit, Michigan (DTW)
- Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS)
- Indianapolis, Indiana (IND)
- Columbus, Ohio (CMH)
- Los Angeles, California (LAX)
- Mesa, Arizona (AZA)
- Omaha, Nebraska (OMA)
- Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC)
- San Diego, California (SAN)
- Wichita, Kansas (ICT)
