Their goal? To empower solo travelers to get out in the world without going it alone. Their specialty? Helping travelers make connections that last a lifetime—with places, with fellow group members, with new acquaintances.
If you’re a solo traveler looking for love, you might also get lucky on an FTLO trip.
As someone who is in a long-term relationship with a partner they met while traveling, I know firsthand how travel forges bonds that are made to last. In other words, booking a solo trip with FTLO could be the moment you find your media naranja. That’s Spanish slang for soulmate.
Speaking of Spanish slang, FTLO is taking its solo travel experience and launching a brand new travel concept: Itineraries made for singles, which open up the possibility of meeting your other half.
Here’s what you need to know about the first trip launching later this year to the South of France and Barcelona.
FTLO partners with Thursday dating app to launch new trips in Spain & France
According to FTLO, around 60% of its travelers are single. Building on that fact, FTLO partnered with Thursday, a dating app that puts together IRL experiences, to cater to their single participants. (Instead of matching people on an app chat.)
FTLO brings its experience putting together awesome international itineraries for its age range. Thursday, on the other hand, brings its event and meetup expertise to the table. Together, they’ve created a trip that encourages natural connections—nothing forced.
Later this year, FTLO is launching an 8-day romp across the South of France and Barcelona. You’ll visit Nice and Eze in France, then head down to Barcelona for the remaining days.
The dates run from September 20-27, 2026, for a price of $4,399. The group maxes out at 16 people, letting you stay more agile with a small group. You can check out the daily details on the FTLO page.
Think: Chatting over tapas in Spain and soaking up the sunshine with a new friend on the towel next to you.
The trip is billed as beachy, foodie, and suitable for first-time solo travelers. As someone who has lived in Barcelona for seven years, I can tell you: This region is effortlessly sexy, making it great for a singles trip. And the late September dates are ideal—you’ll get the warmth and sunshine without the sweat-inducing heat.
