When it comes to Disney World’s main attractions, the Haunted Mansion is up there.

The scary venue is the subject of many urban legends. Some even believe that Walt Disney’s head might be stored in the Haunted Mansion, disguised as a prop, while others think Brigham Young’s hearse might have ended up on the grounds. (The real horror stories of Disney World might be scarier.)
Rumors aside, the Haunted Mansion is an experience that many Disney adults (and other levels of fandom) are eager to repeat.
And Disney World is about to capitalize on the ride’s popularity in a big way. It’s going to open up select areas of the Haunted Mansion for wedding venue reservations.
Here’s what we know.
Inside Disney World’s plans to let you tie the knot in the Haunted Mansion

Beginning in July, 2026, Disney World will allow couples to say ‘I do’ on the steps leading into the Haunted Mansion. The weddings will be managed by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons branch, which operates all on-site weddings and wedding parties.
The wedding package, which you can explore fully on the Disney Parks Blog, includes nuptials on the steps of the Haunted Mansion. You might be wondering why it’s not inside the venue—that’s because it’s dark, and the grandest views are found on the steps outside the mansion. If you’d rather get married at the nearby Magnolia Park Terrace, that’s also available, with slightly different views.
The wedding package includes space for up to 25 guests. It comes with an officiant, lighting, photography, and transportation to and from an on-site resort.
Or, if you’d prefer a wedding at sea, you can also book a wedding ceremony at the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Destiny cruise ship. It’s not quite as over-the-top, but it’s just as perfectly eerie and on theme as the Disney World option. Marriages at the Haunted Mansion Parlor are available starting in May 2026.
