The Broadmoor Hotel, a legend since 1865, is once again offering fantastic ways to celebrate the holidays. Holiday events and programs for guests include gingerbread displays, special holiday dining menus, Wassail Tea service, breakfasts with Santa, the Classic Broadmoor Holiday Show, and two kinds of New Year’s Eve celebrations.
A Gingerbread Display For The Road
If antique cars are your thing, you’ll enjoy The Broadmoor’s 2022 gingerbread display — a lifesized confection that pays tribute to the founder’s 1937 Flathead V-8 Cadillac Touring Car. It’s not a traditional gingerbread house but a wheeled chocolate and gingerbread creation. You can see this display in the mezzanine of the hotel’s main building.
Two carpenters, 10 pastry chefs, and a legion of elves worked to bring this “car” to life! They used 958 pounds of powdered sugar, 475 pounds of flour, 1,801 eggs, 200 pounds of granulated sugar, and 89 pounds of butter.
The Broadmoor’s ticketed holiday festivities are described below. Packages are available for the Holiday Show and the New Year’s Eve Gala.
The Classic Broadmoor Holiday Show
The Broadmoor invites you to this holiday dinner show featuring holiday classics presented as a variety show. Entertainers include Marcus Lovett and his daughter Cathryn, songwriter Jim Salestrom, the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale, Ken Miller, and The Broadmoor Pops Orchestra. Show dates are December 16, 17, 23, 24, and 26, 2022.
Be sure to view the dinner menu and get tickets before you visit. The Broadmoor also offers packages that include accommodations and tickets to the show.
New Year’s Eve Gala — A Black Tie Event With A Five-Course Dinner And A Midnight Balloon Drop
The elegant New Year’s Eve Gala, held in Broadmoor Hall, is known for its amazing five-course dinner with music by The Broadmoor Pops. Julie Bradley, a decorated U.S. Air Force Band member, will join Broadway’s Marcus Lovett to headline. Then, at midnight, you’ll ring in the new year with champagne and a balloon drop.
Guests can purchase tickets and view the dinner menu in advance. The Broadmoor offers a package for the New Year’s Eve Gala as well.
New Year’s Eve Bash – A Casual Welcome To The New Year
Want a more laid-back celebration? The Bash, held in The Broadmoor’s International Center, is more casual. The event features a DJ, dancing, a cash bar, and a champagne toast to welcome the New Year.
General admission tickets can be purchased in advance.
Winter Room Rate Special
The Broadmoor is a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond winner. This winter, rates start at $279 per night for double occupancy. This special rate is available on select dates between November 2022 and March 2023. These rooms go quickly; hurry and make your reservations before they’re all booked.
