Walt Disney World Resorts is bringing back one of its fan favorites — but you’d better be ready to pay for the experience.
Disney After Hours is returning in January, allowing guests to remain in the park for an additional 3 hours after the park closes to most of its visitors.
Guests are required to buy a separate ticket for Disney After Hours. Not only does it allow guests to continue to ride the attractions, but treats such as popcorn, ice cream, and beverages are included.
The attraction to guests is that the number of tickets is limited, allowing for much shorter wait times for popular rides.
At Magic Kingdom Park, more than 20 attractions remain open for Disney After Hours. This includes Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, and more.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can ride the Millennium Falcon, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, Toy Story Land attractions, and more.
Disney calls the event an extra dash of pixie dust, allowing guests to experience more magic in less time.
But this special access comes at a price. Tickets for Disney After Hours range from $129–$159 on top of the separate admission price for the rest of the day.
Disney After Hours will begin January 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and January 9 at Magic Kingdom Park. The event will continue at Hollywood Studios on select nights through April 19 and at Magic Kingdom Park through March 27.
Tickets for the event will go on sale October 4 for guests of Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Vacation Club members and annual pass holders can also purchase Disney After Hours tickets.
All other guests can begin purchasing tickets October 7.
