Xanterra Travel Collection’s origins were as the largest national and state park concessioner in the United States. Then, it acquired the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel and Windstar Cruises before expanding into adventure travel by also acquiring VBT Bicycling Vacations, Country Walkers, and Holiday Vacations. The company also owns hotel properties near national parks. Consequently, Xanterra Travel Collection now offers upscale biking, walking, railway, cruising, sailing, and touring itineraries on six continents.

From July 19–27, for its Christmas in July sale, Xanterra is offering deals on trips that include national parks, luxury cruises, “exotic and legendary” beach and mountain resorts, walking and cycling treks, and even historic working passenger trains.

Here’s a look at some of the Christmas in July Deals:
National Parks
During its Christmas in July sale, Xanterra’s The Oasis at Death Valley is offering 30 percent off hotel stays at its AAA Four-Diamond Inn at Death Valley and the family-friendly and adventure-focused Ranch at Death Valley. The sale is good on select overnight stays between September 15, 2022, and January 19, 2023.
Near the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, in-park lodging at Maswik Lodge, Kachina Lodge, and Bright Angel Lodge will be offered at 30 percent off on select overnight stays. The select dates for those stays are between October 23, 2022, and March 9, 2023, at Maswik Lodge; November 13, 2022, and March 9, 2023, at Kachina Lodge; and November 27, 2022, and March 2, 2023, at Bright Angel. Stays at El Tovar on select nights between November 27, 2022, and March 2, 2023, will be offered at 20 percent off.
Meanwhile, The Grand Canyon Railway/The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel will offer 30 percent off train tickets and up to 30 percent off on overnight stays at The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. The train journeys begin here and the discount is offered for select dates between October 30, 2022, and March 9, 2023.
The Grand Hotel, which is just outside Grand Canyon National Park, will be offering 30 percent off on overnight stays at the AAA Three-Diamond hotel on select dates between October 30, 2022, and March 9, 2023.
Overnight stays inside Zion National Park at Zion National Park Lodge will be offered at 30 percent off on select dates between November 27, 2022, and March 10, 2023.
Cedar Creek Lodge, the gateway to Glacier National Park, will offer 30 percent off on overnight stays on select dates between October 10, 2022, and March 31, 2023.
Resorts
The Broadmoor Resort will offer 20 percent off select stays at Cloud Camp and The Ranch at Emerald Valley, Colorado Springs, between September 1 and October 29, 2022.
Sea Island will offer 30 percent off the standard nightly rate at The Cloister, The Lodge, and The Inn at Sea Island, Georgia, on select stays between December 1 and December 22, 2022.
Cruises
During the Christmas in July sale, Windstar Cruises will offer a complimentary upgrade to an all-inclusive voyage on select 2022 and 2023 sailings, which includes unlimited Wi-Fi, alcoholic beverages, and gratuities. In addition to the all-inclusive upgrade, Windstar will also offer an air credit of $1,000 per guest on some voyages for bookings made before July 27, 2022.
Guided Travel/Tours
VBT Bicycling Vacations is offering 5 percent off any 2023 biking vacation when you book before October 20, 2022. The booking must be paid in full before November 3, 2022.
Country Walkers is also offering 5 percent off any 2023 walking adventure. Those trips must be booked before November 17, 2022.
Finally, when trips are booked between July 19 and 27, Holiday Vacations will offer $200 dollars off select holiday tours in 2022 including New York City at Christmastime, Smoky Mountain Christmas, and Nashville Holiday Extravaganza.
