The popular Sea Turtle Summer Camp is back in session at Four Seasons Resort Nevis. Guests can get this unique and exclusive package inspired by the resort’s dedication to sea turtle conservation efforts.
Through the end of September 2022, guests can sign up for the Sea Turtle Summer Camp package, which embraces, explores, and educates about the marine life, flora, and fauna of Nevis with educational discovery and creative activities designed in partnership with the Sea Turtle Conservancy.
With a seven-night stay (or longer), guests can enjoy family-friendly activities including daily marine biology classes and sea turtle-themed arts and crafts experiences; guided nature walks and beach clean-ups; marine-themed dinner and movie nights; family land sports activities, such as eco-bio golf; private beach cottage or pool cabana access; sea turtle-inspired baking classes; golf cart, greens fees, and club rentals; make-your-own essential oil or scrub classes at the spa; and private airport transfers.
Sea Turtle Summer Camp Perks
There are other cool perks that come with this experience. Guests who book get a Sea Turtle Adoption Kit from the Sea Turtle Conservancy. It includes a personalized adoption certificate, a Sea Turtle Conservation Guide, a membership window cling, a sea turtle sticker and bookmark, a hatchling magnet, and a one-year subscription to the Conservancy’s membership publication, all in a keepsake sea turtle folder.
With each booking, The Four Seasons Resort Nevis will also make a $50 donation to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, which means the support of these amazing animals will continue.
For a little bit of summer fun, the Resort has also partnered with BELLOSOUND to create a fun, family-friendly Spotify playlist for guests on property and at home to enjoy.
Four Seasons And The Sea Turtle Conservancy
For more than a decade, Four Seasons Resort Nevis has partnered with the Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) to support cutting-edge research and education that contributes to the long-term protection and recovery of endangered sea turtles that inhabit the waters of Nevis and nest on its beautiful beaches.
“One of the most fascinating aspects of the STC’s work is ongoing research to study the migratory movements of critically endangered hawksbill sea turtles after they nest in Nevis,” says David Godfrey, Executive Director of the Sea Turtle Conservancy. “Each year, the partnership between Four Seasons Resort Nevis and the STC aims to educate and create awareness about the protection of these beautiful sea creatures through a joint program that helps researchers study the migration patterns of the endangered species that nest on Nevis’ beaches.”
Sea Turtles In Nevis
The hawksbill, the leatherback, and the green turtle are the three species of sea turtles that call Nevis home. They journey hundreds of miles each nesting season to return to the same place where they were hatched and, under the glow of the moon, lay the next generation of sea turtles that will one day make that same exact journey.
With only one in 1,000 to 10,000 baby sea turtles surviving to adulthood, it is critical that sea turtle conservation programs continue to track and protect these animals. ConserveTurtles.org tracks sea turtles by satellite and shows the most recent location for specific turtles.
Sea Turtle Summer Camp rates start at around $1,500 per night, and the reservation must be made seven days in advance. You can learn more about Sea Turtle Summer Camp here, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (869) 469-6238.
