Marriott Bonvoy is offering the ultimate prize package for soccer fans.
The hotel company has teamed up with one of the world’s most popular teams, Manchester United (also known as Man U), to offer one winner and a guest the chance to spend the night at Old Trafford, the team’s iconic stadium.
The company will transform one of the stadium suites into a world-class room for the night. The winners will wake up in their guest room overlooking the pitch on an upcoming game day. The winner will also be there for a Premier League match against Chelsea on May 15.
Rivalries don’t get much bigger than Man U-Chelsea, so just being there for the match is a huge prize in itself. Attending this Man U-Chelsea match guarantees a taste of Old Trafford’s storied history and the chance to see two talented rosters — featuring the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, N’Golo Kanté, Romelu Lukaku, and more.
But the Marriott Bonvoy experience at Old Trafford will be so much more.
In addition to the overnight stay, the winners will receive two additional nights at a Marriott property in Manchester and a select number of meals. They will take part in a number of exclusive events, including watching a Man U training session, mingling with players and other club legends, tickets to the match, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium from one of those club legends.
In addition, the winner will also receive return flights from an international airport and 500 pounds (about $655) in travel vouchers.
“We’re thrilled to be creating this hospitality experience at this iconic location, giving a once-in-a-lifetime chance for fans to wake up in the home of Manchester United on the morning of a match day,” Brian Povinelli, senior vice president of brand, loyalty, and portfolio marketing for Marriott International, said in a release.
The suite at Old Trafford where the winners will stay will be designed like Marriott Bonvoy’s M Club suites: a space meant for relaxation.
This is the third year Marriott and Man U have teamed up to give something special to soccer fans.
“From the very beginning of our partnership, Marriott Bonvoy has created some truly unique experiences, and this is no exception,” said Victoria Timpson, Manchester United’s CEO of alliances and partnerships. “Whoever wins this opportunity will receive the same first-class hospitality as they would at any Marriott Hotels property around the world, with the added excitement of being hosted at the Theatre of Dreams, one of the world’s most iconic football stadiums.”
Anyone interested in the experience needs to act quickly. The contest is open for entries until April 15.
“Bringing our flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, to Old Trafford is just one of the ways we are bringing the extraordinary Marriott Bonvoy portfolio to life through our collaboration with Manchester United, one of the world’s most popular sports teams,” said Povinelli.
