A famous British pig is making a huge muddy splash in the United States. The first-ever Peppa Pig Theme Park is set to open in Florida at the end of February 2022.
Park Details
The Peppa Pig Theme Park will be next to Legoland in Cypress Gardens, Florida. It will feature six rides and six playgrounds, all with different themes. Jump in the family’s red car for adventure on Daddy Pig’s Rollercoaster, or check out dinosaurs and volcanoes on Grampy Rabbit’s Roller Coaster Adventure. Search for buried treasure on Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride, and soar high in the air at Mr. Bull’s High Striker. Kids can ride some of the rides on their own (if they are tall enough!), while others require an accompanying adult.
Among the attractions are Peppa’s family campervan, a greenhouse that serves as a playground, and a cinema where you can take a break and watch episodes of Peppa Pig. Head to the Fun Fair to meet Peppa and her family before playing free games, then go over to Mr. Potatohead’s Showtime Arena for live shows. Little visitors will love George’s Tricycle Trail, where they can pedal on a mini path and the whole family can look for clues on Madame Gazelle’s Nature Path.
Inclusivity
The design of the Peppa Pig Theme Park is very intentional and is aimed at making the park accessible for every kid. The park went through a special accreditation process with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to earn the distinction. Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour attraction, for instance, has numerous sensory stops along its route.
Park designers also worked to ensure the rides were wheelchair accessible. Guests will be able to wheel into the baskets on Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride without any assistance. The Muddy Puddles Splash Pad will also be wheelchair accessible with graded tunnels and hoops.
The Peppa Pig Theme Park officially opens on February 24, but tickets are already on sale. A one-day ticket will run you about $30. An annual pass is $75, with monthly options available as well as discounts for Florida residents. While you are in the area, check out how to visit Legoland, plus other top day trips from Orlando.
