Do you consider yourself an expert on all things Disney vacations? If so, Mickey and company are looking for your expertise.
Applications open today to serve on planDisney, a panel of regular visitors who help others navigate Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and other properties. Potential panelists have until Tuesday, September 14, to submit their applications.
“We are searching for real guests who have mastered the art of planning a Disney vacation, whether it be to Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, aboard Disney Cruise Line, or with their Disney Vacation Club Membership,” the company said in a blog post.
The company is encouraging anyone with the knowledge, experience, and passion for Disney vacations to apply.
“We want to hear from the young adult who just planned the ultimate bachelorette party at Walt Disney World Resort, the guest who just surprised their partner with a magical Disney getaway, or the one planning that big family reunion,” Disney said.
Panelists field questions submitted to disneyPanel.com and answer based on their own experiences, knowledge, and research. Recent questions range from how to get an annual pass and occupancy limits at the villas to whether Key to the World cards still exist.
Help is provided in four different languages — English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. There are also planning tools on the site, videos, top-10 lists, and more.
Disney is looking for a wide range of panelists from different locations, ages, genders, and areas of expertise.
“There is so much Disney to see and do that it’s tough to experience everything in a single visit,” said Jerry, a 2021 panelist. “But what if you had a trusted friend who has experienced everything already? Wouldn’t it be great to get their advice? The magic of planDisney is our collective experience and our diverse backgrounds. Taken together, we’ve just about done it all. And like your best friend, we want to see you enjoy yourself.”
Prospective panelists will go through three rounds in their application: short answers, a video, and an interview.
“What are we looking for?” asks Jane, a 2021 panelist. “You being you sharing your knowledge of Disney in a clear, concise way. But be sure to let your personality shine through because that’s the power of planDisney. We’re a guest, just like you.”
Information on submitting an application is available on the planDisney website. Prospective panelists must be at least 18 years old, have visited a park in the past year, taken a cruise within the past 3 years, or visited a Disney Vacation Club within the past 3 years.
Panelists are expected to answer at least 15 to 20 questions per week. There is no pay involved, but panelists will receive a vacation for themselves and up to three family members.
