The Immersive Van Gogh exhibit offers a truly amazing experience. Now, in select cities, you can take part in something even more memorable: yoga classes that are conducted within the immersive experience.
“Gogh with Lifeway Kefir Immersive Yoga” — sponsored by Lifeway Foods and in partnership with CorePower Yoga — offers a “unique wellness experience featuring yoga and mindfulness sessions in the immersive art installation space,” Van Gogh Chicago explains.
It’s important to point out that people of all fitness levels are welcome to enroll in the 35-minute classes. And yes, the classes take place within the “multi-sensory and all-encompassing” Immersive Van Gogh experience.
“Each workout is designed to challenge the body and inspire the mind; choreographed in harmony with the music, sounds, light, and moving images from Van Gogh’s vast catalog of masterpieces,” Van Gogh Chicago explains. “After your class, you are invited to stay and experience the art around you one more time.”

Get To Know Van Gogh
One of the world’s most well-known artists, Vincent van Gogh is famous for oil-on-canvas paintings including The Starry Night and Sunflowers. The Dutch post-impressionist painter’s work is noted for his use of bold colors, thick brushstrokes, and liberal amounts of paint to create landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits.
The “Immersive Van Gogh” experience made its world premiere in Toronto, where it is still impressing crowds. The experience uses 500,000 cubic feet of high-def digital projections, including 60,600 frames of video, along with music, so art lovers can “step inside” van Gogh’s works. The installation includes The Potato Eaters, The Starry Night, Sunflowers, The Bedroom, and other works.
It’s currently on display in 19 U.S. cities and in Toronto, Canada.

A Truly Unique Experience
The exhibit is designed and conceived by Artistic Director Massimiliano Siccardi and features mood-setting music by Italian composer and pianist Luca Longobardi.
“The exhibit isn’t just van Gogh’s work projected onto walls,” co-producer Corey Ross said in an original interview. “The work also isn’t shown in a linear timeline. Instead, Massimiliano Siccardi took a unique approach to create a story that flows through the piece to show what was flashing through van Gogh’s life. It’s a very moving, and emotional, experience.”
In Chicago, for instance, the exhibit is inside Lighthouse ArtSpace Chicago, a new venue within the recently renovated Germania Club Building. The exhibit incorporates the building’s Victorian Era architecture so patrons are able to walk through two giant ballrooms and side rooms, which all are animated with moving projections of van Gogh’s work.
