There’s so much to love about fall — crisp air, warm drinks freckled with cinnamon, and, of course, changing leaves. Is there anything better than watching the leaves change from green to a brilliant shade of red, yellow, or orange? We don’t think so!
Whether you choose to admire fall foliage from your back porch or travel to see some of the best spots in the country, we can help you plan when to view fall at its finest.
The Science Behind Our List
Our friends at SmokyMountains.com generated a fall foliage prediction map for 2019. The map anticipates the changing of the leaves from September to November, and shows in awesome detail when peak season is in every state in the continental U.S.
Using the data they gathered, we’ve created a list of when to expect the most incredible fall foliage. Follow along below, and keep an eye out for your state or your next travel destination!
